Well, PWG's DDT4 was tonight, and lo and behold, it turned out to be El Generico's send-off show. Great night.
Steen and Generico teased dissension all night. They advanced to the finals of the tag team title tournament, but narrowly lost to the Young Bucks. After the match, Generico offered his hand to Steen, but Steen left the ring. After a beat, Steen charged back in and hugged Generico.
Steen got on the mic and told Generico, "I'd be nothing without you!" Most of the locker room came out, hugs all around, raised Generico up on their shoulders...the whole bit.
Generico gave a brief, in-character, speech, where he addressed the "internet rumors." He said that the rumors are true, "I am returning to Mexico to take care of orphans!"

TNA has done something which WCW did a LOT in its last couple of years - when WWE introduces a storytelling concept, the rival eventually just co-opts it and treats it as part and parcel of pro wrestling.
