Not that I'm trying to feed into this hare-brained idea of a new Latin stable, but wouldn't Hernandez be one of those guys that TNA could simply just pick back up later down the line with little to no trouble at all?

He's referring to the Beadle incident? Or was there something else? I can be lumped with the dummies underneath Vince because while I don't see that as a fire-able offense, I also don't see the long term negative ramifications of firing her (other than she wouldn't be on my tv anymore and that would make me sad).

Yea, that's the Beadle thing.

(Which, to save people googling because this is months old, was current ESPN on screen personality Michelle Beadle visiting backstage way back at the last Tribute for the Troops show and greeting friend/??? CM Punk by calling him an expletive. Apparently she does this all time in a friendly way so it makes sense in her context, but AJ was unaware of that context and gave Beadle a peace of her mind. WWE people were mortified, Beadle says she just shrugged it off.)

I think Dave's mysterious too complex to bother explaining point is AJ fans would've freaked out if AJ was fired or even suspended. And that anger would've been directed after Beadle - she only got a taste of it with what got out - which leads to celebrity people backing Beadle and/or having a lesser opinion of the fanatical nature of WWE fans. Which leads to less celebrities working with WWE which leads to a sad WWE. Teaching AJ to let celebrities have the run of the place doesn't help you a lot if you teach celebrities to stay away from WWE.

but wouldn't Hernandez be one of those guys that TNA could simply just pick back up later down the line with little to no trouble at all?

Yea, but if they wanted Hernandez, they would've used him for the last year when he was under contract but never on TV. They really don't see what you see in him and/or they want a new toy.

I believe you underestimate TNA's desire, above all else, to take a chance on a WWE castaway for a cheap ratings bump.

Maybe they can bring back the whole racist LAX thing while they're at it.

Punk spoke on the Beadle incident in has first interview after leaving WWE. According to CM, Beadle tried to do the thing Alpha "ladies" tend to do when trying to impress their friends and openly disrespects him and AJ made her back down. I'm sure if Punk had reacted first, this would have been a much bigger and more ludicrously handled situation than it turned into. I'd put a ring on my girl if she had my back too.

Video about it here starts at 18:48 http://youtu.be/wHIJlSXdq3s

what are the ramifications of AAA using the Alberto del Rio name in this announcement of him appearing at triplemania this weekend.

It's really bizarre. WWE owns the trademark to the name in Mexico. AAA could easily do a sidestep on the day of the show and call him "the former Alberto Del Rio" while going back to the Dos Caras Jr. name, but they're selling tickets based on a WWE gimmick and that's usual grounds for legal action.

AAA has been fairly careful in how they used the ex-Sin Cara/Mistico. They were definitely concerned about getting threatening letters from WWE (and were said to have at least gotten one.) They don't seem at all concerned this time, which suggests it's either not an issue for reasons only they know, or they've just completely marked out for getting this guy on their biggest show of the year and haven't thought things thru.

Does he own the name Dos Caras Jr. or is that a CMLL trademark?

No one's trademarked the one. His father does owns Dos Caras and his brother is using the "Hijo de Dos Caras" name now.

As it turns out, AAA had Del Rio announce WWE owns his name and he's going with "El Patron". WWE announcers in Mexico got that over as his nickname but they didn't register it, so it works out fine for him.
