Just got back to my computer after catching the Raw show live tonight. And I thought I'd pass along a few notes to the other W's...

-The Highlanders def. Cade & Murdoch--Bigger pop for Rory and Robby than I expected, and a lot more heat for Cade & Murdoch, who I figured might get some love bein in Texas and all. Decent opener, but I couldn't get over the way that the Highlanders slap each other to tag one another in.

-Umaga Squashed Charlie Haas. Crowd was all over the Estrada mic bit, which was easily the longest part of the match...Haas got in Zero offense, aside from a couple of clotheslines.

-Harry Smith def. Rene Dupree--Probably the surprise match of the card, didn't expect to see Rene Dupree, who has changed his look once again, and has completely ditched his previous look. He no longer has the facial hair, and has lost a lot of his body mass. The difference from what I remember seeing him on TV and him tonight was astonishing. Harry Smith came out to nearly no reaction, and I was kinda half expecting Grisham (who MCed) to at least point out he was the Bulldog's son. Smith won with a running powerslam, and looked very good. Should also note, this match was being watched very closely by Ricky Steamboat, who was right at ringside.

-Trish/Torrie/Maria def. Mickie/Victoria/Candice - Quick match, not a lot of attention.

-Nitro retained the IC title over Carlito & Shelton Benjamin--Carlito got a huge pop, and was very over with the crowd.

-Striker and Viscera did a little skit before intermission, which ended up with Striker falling victim to Visagra

-Randy Orton def. Kane--Quick match as well, with Randy hitting the RKO for the pinfall.

-DX def. Spirit Squad--Crowd went absolutely nuts for HHH & HBK, and still a lot of heat for SS, even after the ass beating they took yesterday. This was the comic relief of the night, with DX cointinuously playing to the crowd. This was infinitely better than the match on SNME between the 2, and alot more entertaining.

-Cena def. Edge in a No Holds Barred Grudge Match--Crowd popped huge again for Cena (w/no boos surprisingly). Good way to build off the feud, but, couldn't follow after the reaction the DX/Spirit Squad match.

I'm not sure I'd say that, but I'd say it was a pretty good show and better than New Year's Revolution and The Royal Rumble easily. I'm not sure what was so horrible about it. The 8 man tag war was an awesome match. Lethal vs.
