You guys are throwing your pitchforks too low. The Authority are only taking stage cues and following one man's script. Just the other day I restarted the Network after a 4 month hiatus and picked a random Raw is War in the Attitude Era folder around the year of 1997. Can you guess how the show starts? Vince is cutting a 20 minute promo with Kane, Undertaker, and Austin just standing around while he recaps what happened last Raw, constantly plugs the name and date of the next PPV, and reiterates what to expect at the end of the show.
Pinnochio is not the problem here. Dean and Seth restarted their program so "yay" to that. Also Blind_Guardian you may need to take a break from WWE. I do it every once in a while too when it get's too boring or frustrating to sit through or enjoy. I just took a long hiatus from RAW and Smackdown, I started getting back into TNA and ROH after a several year long hiatus. It's theraputic, and wrestling companies have their downtrends and uptrends. What's going on just ain't workin' for ya.
Cole: "Yeah, thanks to Kane. You should buy Kane a Rolex watch for what he did for you."
Rollins: "Oh don't be silly, Kane doesn't wear watches."
Yeah, I know that ultimately Vince is the one to blame, but I don't think the secondary egomaniacs are entirely blameless either. I certainly doubt HHH or Steph had to have their arms bent to make themselves the cancer they've become to the show. Maybe HHH has gained enough perspective that he'd voluntarily step out of the spotlight if Vince croaked tomorrow, but I kinda doubt it. This is PoocHHHie, after all.
I think you may be right, CA... I can really use a vacation from the WWE's antics. I can always watch highlights on YouTube, including anything Neville does. Neville's one of the things I'd miss during a leave of absence, but one or two super talented guys can't by themselves overcome a horrible angle that won't die.
On the show itself. They're smart to have Sheamus take credit for Bryan's issues. Well I do recall reading a concussion might've happened in the match with Sheamus so they might not be far off. But still, this will generate some heat for him.
Ziggler looks like a cartoon roadie from an 80s rock band. His pairing with Lana seems random, but I did like how he looked around him, expecting Rusev to ambush him.
The tag match was nice, the brawl at the end was expected but well done. I have no clue how they're gonna make the EC match work. It has potential to be a cluster-fuck-chaotic affair. For sure they're going to have to eliminate some teams before the 6th one gets out of the pod.
Rollins and Ambrose blend well together. And it was cool to hear Dean getting a bigger pop than Orton and Reigns. It was funny to see Ambrose bringing back the cinder blocks, right after we saw them (for the first time in months) in Kane's tribute video to the Architect of a Dream.
It's interesting to realize that they're pushing Neville down the card a bit by having him feud with Dallas. Ya know, cos he debuted straight in the upper-midcard with Barrett, Ziggler, Sheamus, taking Bryan's spot. But! They have history, can put on good matches and it will work out as it gives Bo some much needed screen time and allows Neville to win a feud.
The Cena - Owens confrontation was very well done, though I didn't care for Cena's "love me if you love the USA" thing. I'm sure they'll have a good match and it doesn't matter if Cena wins it. It's also good to see that Owens is a shrewd manipulator here as well, getting a match at the ppv (more money!) and not just a quick one at Raw like everyone else gets out of the challenge. Though I'm not sure if it's for the US title?
Learn to use the FF option if you think all the actual storytelling and action is "ruined" by twenty minutes you don't like.
Thought Steen/Owens was great in ROH, didn't realize he's as big (bigger) than Cena. Good segment with him really putting over the NXT Title by refusing to go after the US belt, which he later stepped on.
Lana nonsense is nonsense. But, if it gets Ziggler into a program where he has quality matches, so be it. Rusev looks more and more like a star with each feud, even if he ends up on the losing end of them.
New Day are more enjoyable than I had imagined. Who knew Kofi could do more than smile and go BOOM BOOM BOOM?
I've been catching up via HULU and the 90 minute version is so much more tolerable.

I'm still holding out hope that the pairing will be known as the Hollywood (Florida) Blondes

Previously WWE.com's pay-per-view schedule section only had the current PPV (and last week was just listing SummerSlam), but when I checked it out today...I noticed a much more extensive listing:
