Kudos to the production team for putting together a top-notch video, as usual.

This was to me by far the best thing on the whole show.

What the hell was this sentence even supposed to mean? I've read it like 3 times and it still makes no sense.

Also, this show outright sucked. There was no 'alright' about it.

I just don't see how Cena/Brock is going to get people to re-up their subscriptions. At this point, we may see WWE lose 10% to 15% of their subscribers and keep 20%, because they forgot to cancel or don't know how.

WWE gets terrible after SummerSlam whether on purpose, because football is around the corner and they stop caring. Or the normal heel PPV that SummerSlam has become leads to the writers getting lazy or trapped in a box. I am not sure what they can do in the main event, their options are terrible. The mid-card is doing ok. It could be a lot better, but it could be worse. People need to care again about the IC title unfortunately, they put on a guy fans seem lukewarm about.

Sasha Banks, who hasn't even graduated up out of developmental yet, is already like ten times better than both Bellas put together. She has confidence in her character (and also, an actual character) and body language that sells that. She's more assertive in her line delivery, and, of course, wrestles way better than Brie or Nikki. I kind of can't believe the Bellas. They've been around since 2008, and they're still as bad as they are. Nikki is downright awful, and she's still somehow better than Brie. Brie can't generate any sympathy despite all the effort that's gone into writing a sympathetic situation for her character. The WWE is the top-flight wrestling promotion in the world, and these two have absolutely no business working there.

You can have the music, Nikki.

Brock and Heyman rule.

Jacked up no-messin-around pissed-off no-selling the Summerslam beating Cena sucks.

The Dust Busters. Trademark that!

I read that creative doesn't give a crap about Bo anymore. They are out of their minds.

You know, this made me think of something. Given their troubles in the area I wonder if they'd ever create a character that 'roids to get an advantage? Cena couldn't beat Brock on his own, but after a month on steroids, look at him go!

I got really bored, really fast with this show ... flipped to watch the Prime Time Emmys, which were vastly more entertaining.

WWE really needs to step it up fast ... MNF is right around the corner.

It's maddening to watch AJ and Paige do their best to tell a story in the ring and hear:
A) the fans chant for CM Punk; and
B) the commentators bury them in babble.

If JBL really wanted to be the heel last night, he'd compare Swagger to the Chicago Little League team that got beat by South Korea, not Benedict Arnold. He hasn't quite got the hang of playing the weasel heel because he can't play it up for comedy; that's Lawler's strength, and he's sitting right there. So JBL has to play it like a bully. He might have more leeway on SmackDown now, but that means we get two JBL styles, and he's has yet to successfully nail down one. Sheamus, in contrast, was much more natural on the mic.

I don't care at all for Bo Dallas, and a Swagger/Dallas angle seems like it helps no one. Also, Swagger, dude, you gotta grapevine that leg on the Patriot Lock.

The Rhodes boys going to the dark side was kinda inevitable with that Darth Maul facepaint. I want Cody to go back to the high singles midcard, but it doesn't need another heel right now, and he at least has momentum as part of a tag team.

Yea, JBL has been even more problematic than usual with those segments. The writing has gone out of their way to give Swagger something out of this feud - he took both losses but never gave up and never got pinned - and a good announce crew could give credit to Swagger while still hyping Rusev as an undefeated monster. Instead, JBL bellows that Swagger is a loser and failure and not someone we should care about, rending it all pointless. There's ways you can still make it work, if Cole was a stronger voice, but JBL is too much of a announcing bully to let that work.

OTOH Brie is, uh, gunning for Daniel Bryan's record of consecutive shows getting laid out. Poor Brie. Fire up, Brie! Fire up.

Nikki's accusations of boyfriend-stealing are vindicated in this video -- at 1:38, learn of their previous falling out over "Buddy Peacock from 2005." EASTER EGG: Buddy Peacock was Bryan Danielson's idea for his WWE trademarked name before William Regal suggested Daniel Bryan.

The Bellas ARE great -- Nikki telling Brie she wishes Brie died in the womb made my blood run cold -- and that video reminds me that it's not too late for Fandango and R-Truth to get their tag team title shot.

Because some of us don't have even the slightest bit of interest in football, and if they decide to just concede the rating fight and put out several months of filler, their ratings will plummet even further. They do have shareholders to think of now, it's not just Vince deciding to take a loss for a few months and hope he gets it back at Wrestlemania.

Then there's this:
--------------------------------------------------
http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0826/580456/wwe-diva-is-looking-for-a-husband/#!bKBJSR

- Add the law firms of Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP and the law office of Alfred G. Yates Jr. to the list of firms that are investigating WWE for allegedly issuing false and misleading statements regarding their ability to acquire a premium fee for their television license renewal deal.
-------------------------------------------------------

Investors might not take to kindly if they find out they had been "tanking it", cuz that how they do things when football starts up.

It means the people who want the Cena turn most would probably cheer his heelish moves since it's something that's been hoped for by some for some time now. It means there's really few candidates that would cause a Cena heel turn to have full impact.

Then there's the fact that they've just opened up the Network to month-to-month payments. If the product goes to shit for six months or so, they'll lose a LOT of subscribers. There's still all the classic and on demand stuff, sure, but if they just start pumping out filler for the PPVs, people are going to finish watching their backlogs, find there's nothing worthwhile getting put out, and cancel their subscriptions. Besides, with TiVos in most people's houses, having to watch something live isn't really necessary. If they were smart, they'd work even harder to be the program that people watch live and save the handegg for later, instead of throwing in the towel without even trying.

WWE would trample everything in their garden right as everything is ready to turn and come to fruition just to pick that one cucumber and then look around and wonder why they can't make a salad.
