The overall spirit of the gimmick hasn't changed, but doing the "Mick Foley" cheap pop during their intro video contributed a lot to their current face reactions.
Originally posted by Big BadI agree that 'Scott Hall' will be inducted in the future as part of the NWO, so that'll be a double inductions for Hogan, Hall and (surely) Nash. I presume the NWO will just be considered to be those three guys in order to keep it from being a 45-person ceremony --- though it would be hilarious if *that* was how they snuck Savage into the Hall.
Even better, they can induct the NWO Wolfpac and sneak in Savage and Sting both.
And while those worthy fellows are all up on stage, coverage of the evening will cut to a hallway deep in the basement where Horace Hogan, Stevie Ray, and Scott Norton are all wondering why they've been left out of the ceremony.

Now he and Jake are getting inducted on the same night. Dear Lord, help them not to fall off the wagon. In all sincerity.
Soooo, I'm guessing' we know where DDP is going to be that weekend.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you trying to tell me that Scott "Flash" Norton doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame?
Don't overlook the fact that Arnold and Joe M were about to enter themselves in the battle royale. So when they don't show at Wrestlemania, that clearly means THE MIZ SCARED THEM OFF. Miz gets the last laugh again!

Well, everybody beat me to it, but the absence of the name "Scott Hall" or any sign of the nWo angle was really, really weird. It's not as though they've confined other Hall of Fame inductions to WWE stuff if the situation warranted. And even if they do want to induct the nWo some day, I don't see what that has to do with it, especially since Hogan's in.
The other thing from the part of the show that I watched: I really wish they had explained what the Vickie Guerrero Invitation IS. A gauntlet match? A battle royal? A tag-in match? Everybody in the ring at once? My guess is it will be one of the latter two, and the first pinfall takes it, which is really a sucky way to do a 12-person (or whatever it is) match, but I don't think they're going to give most of those women any substantial time to wrestle at Mania. (Here's a thought: if you don't think a division is worth a long segment at Mania, don't book a freaking 12-person match!)

Yeah, I was wondering that to and thought it was odd.
Maybe they're gonna have people vote for the match on the WWE app on the next Raw.

If it's an option, I guarantee that a Bra and Panties Battle Royale will win hands down, and then Lawler will have another heart attack Though that's a bit more Attitude Era.

Also, the crowd was solidly behind the Real Americans (well, Cesaro at least) until Rollins went bucknuts and reminded everyone who the faces were supposed to be.
I'll be the first to throw around negativity towards the writing staff, because much of the time, it's well-deserved. But whoever called the audible on the Shield breakup and decided to turn them face instead deserves a huge pat on the back. That might be the best call this company's made all year, aside from the Daniel Bryan Wrestlemania Saga.

I've got mixed feelings about how they're handling anything else, but the SHIELD angle is the one thing where I think they're doing everything 100% right.

UNLESS they break them up at Mania. That would piss me off. They only really turned face a couple of weeks ago, and Mania is supposed to be the culmination of angles, not the beginning of them. (Has anyone actually turned on a partner during Mania lately that was a face-turning-heel? I honestly don't know but it doesn't seem like it.)
If they have the Shield break up at a random RAW in May it will be a WAY bigger deal than if they do it during the second hour of the biggest card of the year.

I can never remember if he actually got in the nWo or not but if inducting the entire nWo means that Disco Inferno is in the Hall of Fame then I'm there.
(edited by Quezzy on 27.3.14 0925) Lance's Response:
Disco made it into the Wolfpac. I doubt they'd induct the ENTIRE nWo, as that would mean the aforementioned luminaries technically being Hall of Famers, plus future big hitters like Sting, Luger, Savage and Big Show being put in all in one go. It would have to be Hogan, Hall, Nash and maybe Bischoff.

This reminds me of one of my favorite hilarious nWo moments.
Shortly after the reunification, the senior members of the nWo asked Vincent to go to the ring to deliver a message to... somebody, I don't remember. The message was rather hostile, and the end result was likely to be, that person beating the hell out of Vincent.
Now Vincent, who'd suffered the "Black Dude Dies First" trope throughout his entire stint with the nWo, finally shows a little Genre Savvy. He walks over to Disco, the newest member of the Wolfpac, and tells him something like, "Big Kev wanted you to handle this personally."
So Disco goes to the ring, delivers the message, and... gets the heck beaten out of him. I seem to recall everyone else in the nWo complimenting Vincent on a job well-done.
