Looks like Punk doesn't have his elbow wrapped any more during his match at Payback and against Del Rio. That used to be my cue if he was going to wrestle or he just came out to cut a promo. Guess that time off was good for him.
He *was* shaking it like it was sore after the match.

Nah, I think he was just selling for Del Rio. His right elbow is usually taped but he was selling his left arm as Del Rio's finisher is the cross armbreaker.
Ah. Monday's show was my first show back since the post-'Mania Raw.

I think Steph verbally bitch slapping AJ was supposed to be a face moment, but as usual she can't pull off being a heroic figure, because she isn't one and will never be.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
With WWE.com posting a statement about the HHH/Bryan confrontation, I'm now leaning towards "it's a work", and one that will lead to Trips beating Bryan at MITB in another desperate, doomed attempt to make himself relevant again.
I hope I'm wrong.

Every single reputable site is reporting otherwise. The sites that plagiarize from reputable sites are reporitng otherwise too.

Y'know, the kid can still sniff out the stuff that wasn't supposed to happen. ("The kid" is me)
But all the wwe.com stuff is definitely trying to take what they've got and mold it into their storyline/work after the fact. Too bad they never posted the "confrontation!" I would have liked to have seen THAT on the wwe.com - hell, even on the App!
I finally had the chance to sit down and watch everything and I am convinced it was a work from the start. The way the announcers immediately play up the possible injury, talk about how Bryan obviously doesn't want to give up and then the referee's ruling. They even then mention the HHH-Bryan altercation later in the show. I know they want to drum up app/wwe.com views but it just didn't come across as something they ran with on the fly.
Other than that, great Raw. Henry's jacket was amazing. I'll never forget that. Punk-Lesnar..could be great. I'm hoping for the best for sure. The Punk vs Heyman promos can definitely be great if they allow them to riff off one another.
The McMahon stuff..I did enjoy the final scene where they each told Bricky what to do but other than that...too much McMahons aren't good. Especially not Steph.

I don't even think you can tell what they're coming up with on the fly. A lot of the time what we're seeing on the show is almost being thought up as they go.
I definitely got a "this is real" vibe from the way Bryan reacted to the missile dropkick. The way he lay there, unable to move his arms or legs, coupled with Orton's vocal uncertainty in what to do, it just all seems too real for these guys to pull off. Wrestlers by and large are shitty, shitty actors.
I think it was a real injury, and they decided to work with what they had. Remember, the commentators are piped into what's going on in backstage so McMahon can yell at them to talk about certain things. If stuff's going on backstage about Bryan possibly being injured, the announcers are going to know about it and probably told to mention it before the rest of us even notice anything.
