Man, I'd sure love to wash down my Hardees Super Bacon ThickburgerTM with a cold, refreshing can of SurgeTM. Or better yet, another tremendous Daniel Bryan match. Twenty minutes of that really made the rest of the show much more palatable than it would have been otherwise, and if they're going to spend a half hour of every show building up my goodwill like that, then I'll be willing to overlook their other issues.
As a female viewer (who watches to share a common interest with her fiancé), the first thing that drew me in in 2009 was the Edge/Vickie/Big Show angle. It was amusing. I tend to pay more attention to the stuff that happens outside of the ring then what happens in it, though that's less true now than it was when I started watching.
With that said... Daniel Bryan matches always have my attention even if I have no idea what the moves are called. I was in another room for part of Raw when we watched it, but I made sure to check that I wasn't missing any Bryan action. My favorite of recent episodes was the double kicks he was giving out a few weeks ago to the Shield members.
Fast paced or cool move matches such as Bryan (or Neville on NXT) get my attention. I don't like slow matches.
Other things I like: good promos (Punk, summer of Punk, etc) and AJs craziness and awesome character development. Oh, and the Stephanie bellow did get a much deserved rewind.
Edit: the Stephanie/HHH/McMahon stuff does nothing for me.
Well wieners, I usually don't spend nearly as much time talking about TNA as I do the WWE and joshi, but this week is a big exception. I've been watching TNA on and off since the beginning, and I've been checking it out every week since January.
