Could this Triple H thing be slowly building to him vs. Vince at WMXXX for "control" of WWE?

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer heavily suggested that the plan for Daniel Bryan as of now is as a major singles face, not as a heel. But who knows what might happen!

Now, if you'd said the same thing about the Hartford crowd, I could have believed that with all the comments Vince & Steph were directing towards the crowd last night on the subject of HHH.

Brandon Stroud theorized on his RAW Best/Worst today that we aren't getting Punk/Jericho in Chicago at all, but Heyman will introduce "MY CLIENT...CURTIS AXEL!!!" as Y2J's opponent to massive boos from the Chi-town crowd.

I was guessing Jericho was going to feud with Axel right after his re-introduction, and was suprised it turned to Punk.

I'm (half-jokingly) assuming Punk isn't coming back til the NHL Playoffs end, if you follow his Tweets. (Wait, *do* the NHL Playoffs end? Those go on forever!) And then Rancid is going on tour this month and I wouldn't be surprised if he followed them around the country too... As long as he's back for MITB in Philly. :)

Jerry Lawler proclaimed HHH was hot, which made everyone in the room look at one another and laugh.

The show also had a decidedly crash TV style, with things overlapping here and there to keep us captivated.

Daniel Bryan is coming around. Call me crazy, but they seem to be setting the guy up as something huge.

"Magistrator."

Weird not having Vickie. (NOT weird not having Brad Maddox.)

DISCLAIMER: If they were on a non-RAW show I didn't watch....my bad.

I miss Punk but I'm glad he is getting some much deserved time off that isn't caused by a serious injury. Very few guys on the roster get to enjoy time away without worrying if they will move back down the card upon returning. If he doesn't come back into Summerslam I think the product would be fine for the most part. We got Bryan, Ambrose, Rollins Sami Zayn formerly Generico, Kassius Ono, and Cesaro are guys he's known from his indie days who the company seems high on to certain extents.

The reason CM Punk re-negotiated his contract and has stayed on all this time was so many guys who came into the WWE in a similar way could rise up easier against Vince's disdain of the IWC's favorites and those with strong fan support from their pre-wwe careers. Now that is starting to happen more, I wouldn't be shocked if CM Punk was planning retirement or at least working part-time like Rocky soon.

This only bolsters my advocacy for off-seasons for performers. I cannot wait for a refreshed Punk to come back.

In fact, pretty cool news from tonight's Observer.

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Meltzer: "For those who think the company doesn’t see Bryan as a main eventer, right now the penciled in main event for Money in the Bank on 7/14 in Philadelphia is Cena vs. Bryan, with Bryan not being a heel, as the title match. As you should be aware, everything is subject to change. It’s pretty much a sure thing Bryan will be cheered in that match, given the city, and they are fully aware of that."

The Bellas explode!

Earlier this week Meltzer also talked about Bryan/Ziggler in an upcoming title program. Maybe Bryan has this WWE career-making match where he goes toe to toe with Cena and comes up just short, then moves into the other title feud with Ziggler having been established as a top face whose chase people are into.

If it's true that Cena vs. Bryan for the WWE Title is the main event of the Money in the Bank PPV, I could even see Bryan getting put over here and winning the belt. Certainly he'd be considered a legitimate threat, anyway.

And I could even see them do it without turning either one of them heel.

...unless WWE decides to cut off its nose to spite its face, and just has Cena completely bowl him over and treat him like a joke.

They will. And yeah, one of them is going to be a heel in Philly, guess which one. You are right, the wrong one.

Did you read what Justin wrote?
He said that he will not be the heel.

We'll see how it goes. WWE has the tendency to change things around based on what type of cereal they had that morning.
But the guy is on a hotstreak right now and they are at least acknowledging it and allowing him to shine.

I have a full edition of WCW Saturday Night this week, and it’s going to be one of the most trying recaps I’ve done since I started this project nearly 2 years ago.
