Daniel Bryan is not impressing me at all. I don't see what the big deal is with him.
Okay, Michael Cole. I'm sure you're aware winners and losers are predetermined. In between the ring entrances and the predetermined finishes is the "wrestling" portion of the match. Bryan is good at wrestling. Otunga, not so much.

On the indy scene, he was one of those flippy-floppy, spot-fest, lucha-type wrestlers. I saw him wrestle a couple times in 2002-ish. He doesnt seem to do much of that in WWE.
I know I am going to get stoned for this, but its true, wins and loses count in wrestling. If you can't win one match out of what 5 or 6 now, you are a jobber at least in the eyes of the fans. It also means more if you are a new comer that is why 85% of the time most of the new guys get feed lower level or mid card level guys when they are introduced. You can't build a wrestler up with no foundation and part of that foundation is winning. I am sure he will beat Miz for the US title on Smackdown or a PPV then most of the stench of his debut will be gone.
Yet, I think WWE realized that they can't do cuts now, because the fans would be say "Hey, why not cut the 0 for forever wrestler instead of the guy that has at least a win." Maybe in three months time, this will all be mute, but as of now ie today, the WWE is screwing up with him. I also don't like Daniel saying Otunga can't wrestle since Otunga has a win over him. Its just stupid booking to make the so-called hero of the show look like a bitch.

I agree wins and losses do matter in terms of how wrestlers are perceived by fans and how they're positioned on the shows. But the point was Daniel Bryan hasn't won a match because he hasn't been allowed to win a match. He has no say on whether he wins a match or not; he does what he's told. So using Bryan's won-loss record against him here as evidence he can't wrestle well makes no sense. We all know better. 'Cause we're all SO smart.
I also agree the booking of NXT overall has been deeply flawed.

Barrett is also the brightest of the NXT guys, besides Daniel Bryan, judging by their Twitters. Barrett writes the most interesting blogs and has a personality NXT hasn't let him show yet.
It's kind of ironic that WWE put one of the guys with enough personality to get himself over together with Jericho, who could've gotten anyone over.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- Orson Welles, The Third Man

He changed a lot from the flippy-floppy style since 2002.

They also seem to be booking Danielson "to lose," by putting him vs the World Champ or Khali and so on.
Sing this special song. It's just for you. Not verbatim but still: "You're lucky Matthews and his one match of experience is sitting between us. That's the only reason I won't go after you Cole, he might try to shoot on me-- poorly."
Who cares if the contest makes no sense if Jericho gets 15 minutes of mic time every week.
What a train wreck Lashley was. You could see the exact moment his rehearsed lines went *poof* in his mind. In fairness to Punk, the idea was to make Holly submit in 3 minutes or less. Hence, he was relying on the vice as a submission move.
