It doesn't ALWAYS work just yet. The Roku I use can't seem to access the "in-ring" content at all, but instead just dumps you back to the Roku home screen.
PPVs are working fine, though no thumbnail previews or chapter markers currently. And the "showing now" content is hit or miss on how much it lags or kicks you home.
Still, that's a dramatic improvement from a week ago at this point, so it's getting there. And I've been able to watch some great matches (yesterday's choice was Kendrick/London taking the tag belts at Judgment Day '06), so I'm a content subscriber if not a 'happy' one so far.
I'm probably a couple days away from getting it now; I was on the fence until reading the Grantland article. How's the network holding up? I'll be watching it almost exclusively on my laptop.

The streaming is fine for me (both "live" programming and on-demand) but I only ever use a PC. I think it varies by device.
If I was hosting a Wrestlemania viewing party, I'd be buying the PPV through traditional means. I cannot fathom anything but chaos and disarray for their first WWE PPV stream (especially since it's Mania).
Content varies by device too - I know the Xbox 360 only has a handful of shows so far but I get the entire PPV library (minus a few things like When Worlds Collide and whatnot).
Meltzer's daily updates often mention if new content has been added. I haven't seen any new PPVs but there have been random episodes of shows here and there.
It's very weird to see Benoit on TV. Also I totally forgot Victoria's "I ain't the lady to mess with" song ever existed, and wow, that was awful. I never thought I'd miss t.a.t.u quite so much.

I get the thinking behind this, but I'm still going to chance it for my viewing party (which is going to be small, but still...). The last time I ordered Mania for a viewing party through my (previous) cable company was 26, and the feed just straight up shut off before Taker/HBK and never came back. I'd take some freezing/looping/artifacting over that any day.

Why would there be new PPVs? The '14 Rumble was put up last week, everything else is there. Except the AWA/NWA super cards, no?

I totally didn't realize they put Rumble up. I guess I should watch (just the opener?)
There had been a rumor a couple weeks ago about WWE putting up all the Clash of the Champions and Saturday Night's Main Events after the free trial period ended. That obviously didn't happen yet but should at some point. There may be no be any more dictionary definition PPVs to go up (except some miscellaneous ones skipped or missing), but there are some Major Events left to show.
Great dumb idea that just hit me: once we get past WrestleMania time, they need to run something like a marathon of every world title change ever. Maybe just pick one title lineage, so we're just seeing B beat A, C beat B, D beat C and so on from Buddy Rogers all the way to whoever's champion at WrestleMania this year. It'd be the nerdist stuff - what are they going to do when the title's vacated? - but also cool and very nostalgic. They got the time and capabilities, and I'd really love to see them take it to that level.
Ohhhh, yes. I'd love to see Heat, Velocity, Jakked, Metal, and all the Nitros, Thunders and Saturday Nights they can find. Maybe even full episodes of Smoky Mountain Wrestling.
And the Complete Title Change History idea is fantastic, too.

I just read that just about everything New Jack has been deleted. Is that for his violent hackery or because Natural Born Killers plays over everything and they didn't want to pay it?

Which is really weird, because there are SOME New Jack run-ins with a really terrible WWE knock-off of Natural Born Killaz playing. Perhaps they got through doing those few run-ins and decided it was just too time consuming to do his matches?

I went ahead and got the free trial today. With my crappy internet at home (at least until after midnight, when it gets mildly better), I kept getting "Video Not Available" error messages, so I went to McDonald's.
I decided to jump right into a WCW pay-per-view, Bash at the Beach '97. Therefore, the first match I ever saw on the WWE Network was... Glacier and The Cat vs. Mortis and Wrath. Haha! Surprisingly decent wrestling out of those four, actually. I liked the ending, too-- with Mortis down on the mat, James Vandenberg wrapped a chain around his foot, which Mortis later used to kick Glacier and end his undefeated streak.
I loaded up Bash '97 specifically to see the Benoit/Sullivan match (which, actually, wasn't as violent as I expected it would be), but found a couple hidden gems beforehand: Chris Jericho defending the Cruiserweight Title against Ultimo Dragon, and a trios match between Lizmark Jr., Juventud Guerrera and Hector Garza vs. La Parka, Psychosis and Villano IV.
My favorite part of the trios match was when the technicos were all in the ring together, with the rudos on the outside. The technicos high-fived each other, and then bounced off the far rope and did a synchronized suicide dive onto their adversaries. Meanwhile, referee Mark Curtis assumed the "tornado drill" position in the corner, which was priceless!

I was watching an ECW PPV and the New Jack match was there (with ripoff music) but for some reason New Jack got the Benoit treatment where the beginning and end of the match were not marked like the rest of the show. Is it possible the New Jack matches are there and some are just missing them because of the lack of chapters?
I went through all his supposed PPV appearances and nearly all have been completely cut.

I think at Superbrawl 97 they have a super...brawl.

The free week isn't tied to when you sign up. It's literally a free week starting from 9 AM this morning when they launched. If you don't sign up until Saturday, your free week will instead be a free day and a half.
