I just got a text: "WWE Network launches this Monday at 9 a.m. ET!" I thought it launched after Raw goes off the air this Monday?

They probably changed it so they can announce subscriber numbers throughout the show. WE GOD A MILLIN PEEBLE, MAGUL!

HE'S A BULL, MOGGLE

I think I read on the Observer site that the on-demand part launches at 9:00 a.m. Monday but the live feed (or whatever you call it) starts immediately after Raw.

Read it and weep, fella

I saw a lot of "OMG THIS IS THE AWESOMEST THING EVER~1!!" when the network was announced, but is anybody here actually gonna order this thing?

I woulda been all over it maybe 10-15 years ago, not so much now.

That's what was initially reported, but if you look at the channel lineup WWE.com posted, it looks like during the day Monday they will be showing sneak peeks of all the new Network shows.

There's going to be at least three hours of programming on the live network when it launches, according to the press release about the programming lineup:

WrestleMania Rewind – A comprehensive look back at the biggest moments and matches in WrestleMania history. The first episode will air at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. A sneak peek will air Monday, Feb. 24. at 9 a.m.

WWE Countdown – A one-hour countdown show where the votes of the viewers will comprise weekly top-10 list. The show is set to debut at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. A sneak peek will air Monday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m.

This is NXT – This is set to be a one-hour where viewers get a look inside the lives of the stars of NXT. There will be behind-the-scenes of the WWE Performance Center as well. The first episode in the series is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m.

I'm really on the fence, but I will probably do it just for the first six months just for the PPV's. 10 years ago I would have tried to watch everything on there, now I hardly have time to catch Raw.

I will have to wait and see how the payment works. It's $9.99 for the first six months with a six month commitment. If I can just pay the $60 up front and not worry about cancelling anything down the road then I am in. If it is a continuous charge that is a pain in the ass to cancel I may be out.

I won't order it because I don't think they're prepared for the Mania demand. The PPV bargain is the most appealing element for me, but I'll order that from DirecTV, assuming they'll still carry it. I don't have the time to watch all the current shows on TV; when would I watch WCW PPVs?

They partnered with the VERY best in terms of infrastructure. This isn't something slapped together on a whim, they're leveraging the *best* Online Broadcasting/IT division in the world with MLB Advanced Media. There is a greater chance of having an outage on cable than it is having an outage due to MLB Advanced Media. This is not a hyperbole.

If my US Proxy supports it, there's a very good chance I may pick this up.

Does anyone know if they plan to stick with $10/month as a price point for the near-to-intermediate term, or is this just an introductory rate to rope people in?

I think I'm in on this. Just the idea of watching every PPV from 1992 is enough of an appeal to me. Given the rumors, I'm not particularly looking forward to WrestleMania this year, but I am looking forward to the Hall of Fame ceremony which sounds like it'll be on the network.

Throw in Legends House, and I think it sounds like paying $60 for to see how it goes.

I bought a Roku just so I could subscribe to WWE Network, but now I'm on the fence. I try to be "fair" at home with TV choices and I'm not certain that my wife will like either going to another room or watching PPVs. Do I want to commit to irking her 12 nights per year?

But, I wonder why I must download the WWE app to watch something through Roku? The contrarian in me wants to refuse solely on the grounds that I don't want to be forced into the WWE App (despite the cutting off my nose to spite my face analogy).

I'm definitely ordering the network. I'll probably wait a day or two just to make sure there aren't any snags, but this is a product that I want.

At this point no. I even had a chromecast in my hands last weekend, but since Mania looks like a trainwreck and for the first two months you are not getting any PPVs, I don't see why there is a need to sign up right away. Its cool to see all the old PPVs, but if you look hard enough you will find them on the internet. I will wait til after Mania if they have Bryan as champ and Punk back, I might give it a whirl, but $10 a month can go to Hulu which has most of their shows the next day which the network is going to have to do foreseeable future anyway.

USA is gong to have the Hall of Fame, too.

Not really the first two months. Only March. The network is only live for the last five days of February. You still get 6 PPVs.

The Hall of Fame ceremony on the network is complete and uncut.

If things look good after the initial trail period of a week, I'm probably gonna get it. I was thinking about boycotting it until Bryan was champion but then I realized Bryan gets paid either way, and gets tv time whether I buy it or not. All the uncut ECW ppv and the ability to watch WCW destroy itself from PPV to PPV is too much to pass up.

Hulu isn't really an option for me because I'm cheap and crafty.

I'm confident they're condfident in their preparation. I wish they had a PPV before Mania to test the system. But even then they're looking at a fifth of the demand between a test PPV run and what they want for Mania. It's a $10 insurance fee for me to order through a dish vs. the app. I'm nihlistic. I'm just not convinced. I do NOT hope they have problems for Mania. I don't wish that for the audience. But again the app, for me, is a PPV option as I wouldn't have the time to see all the historical stuff.

Again, I'm not anti-app on this. But it's an ambitious roll-out and I, man, I am not sold. Not yet.

How else would you watch it? If you want to watch Netflix you need the Netflix app, if you want to watch Hulu you need the Hulu app, if you want to watch WWE Network you need the app.

According to the MLBAM website they handle 10 million streams daily, I don't think Wrestlemania will be a problem.

I believe the first week being free may be a stress test so there's no surprises on the night of Mania.

I know "just enough" to make my Roku work. When I activated it, it had the Netfix and Hulu icons on screen (and available through the Roku website) to allow me to subscribe on my TV or my computer. I truthfully can't figure out how downloading the WWE app to my tablet or phone is going to get the WWE Icon on my Roku. I'm sort of hoping that since Roku is going to carry WWE that I'll simply have the WWE icon on my Roku menu and be able to choose from there if I so decide.

I'm still in the initial stages of the streaming learning curve.
