According to SEC filings from yesterday, the WWE said that it may settle a class-action suit filed against it and the company's underwriters, somehow associated with their 1999 IPO.

Apparently, its not unique to WWE. There were a whole bunch of companies who IPO'd in the late-1990's who have agreed recently to pay $1 billion in total to investors.

WWE still denied all the allegations against them, that it articifically inflated the stock price and that the underwriters charged excessive commissions.

So perhaps Vince and Martha Stewart won't end up in the same cell after all.

Over 1600 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!

Oliva: You are the weakest link! Goodbye!

Stewie: Ahahaha. Oh God, that's funny. That's really funny. You write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' You know I've never heard anyone make that joke before. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference that outside program before. Because that's what she says on the show, right? Hmmm? 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' And ye...ye..yet you've taken it and....and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. What a clever, smart girl you must be. To come up with a joke like that all by yourself. Mmmmm...that's so fresh too. Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. Mmmm? Cuz i'm here God you're so funny!

It's not a criminal charge, nor would it be against Vince personally.

Although... I'm surprised he hasn't come up with an evil stockbroker gimmick yet. That would get such heel heat these days.

I don't get this argument. By having it cost slightly more to see the show live, you know that those in attendance are going to be more rabid fans who enjoy the live product. As long as the arena is filled, it is good for the product.
