Reports are showing that WWE has high hopes for tonight's Raw. That worries me. Yeah, Rock/HHH should be a great match and everything and Summerslam buildup will be at a maximum, but what if the ratings DON'T go up? I mean, let's not forget that Rock/HHH isn't exactly a fresh matchup. It's been done TO DEATH! So what if expectations aren't what WWE hopes they are?

Could WWE finally realize that MAYBE Triple H isn't the draw he claims he is?

No, silly. That'll never happen as long as he's screwing the boss's daughter.

What worries me is that if ratings don't go up after tonight, they'll hit the "reset" button YET AGAIN! And that's the last thing they should do, considering how well things have been going. WWE TV has been the best it's been in a long time (excluding "Raw is HHH" from a few weeks ago). And Eric Bischoff has been really entertaining in his role thus far. I really hope that if there's a disappointing rating tomorrow that the WWE doesn't flush everything down the toilet and try ANOTHER new direction.

But that's just what I think. What do you think?

"That's right! You suckas better FIND somewhere to run! 'cause it's me - Booker T - not only am I the Scorpion King, but I'm the five-time WCW Champion - and I got a sword, too! Now can U dig THAT - SUCKAAAAAS"
-Booker T, Hollywood's next big superstar!

And that's the bottom line, because it's false! It's DAMN false!

The rating will be hurt somewhat tonite by N.F.L pre-season action. Although it won't be much of a hit, it's not like 3-4 years ago when a few percentage points mattered in the ratings. If the N.F.L. game keeps RAW under 3.7 tonite, fear will increase in Titan Tower, because every time they have promoted big matches for the past 2 months, the ratings haven't increased. And remember, competition really begins next week, as two weeks of the U.S. Open going head to head with RAW are followed by the beginning of the N.F.L. season, which means RAW could be down to the 3.0 area by the next PPV.

As mediocre (not bad, not great) as RAW was last night, I hope to hell that they don't hit the reset button again. We've got a good thing going here, much better than we had even two or three months ago. Let's just keep it up.

I can't believe it! I just got pinned by a freaking 12-year-old!--

With the exception of Fuzzy, Fonzy, whatever the band is called the show was good and I did not fall asleep 16 times.

Given the ammount of promotion for SummerSlam they crammed into 2 hours (you'd be excused for thinking it was an infomercial!) they'd hope Raw rated well!

Thing is I doubt it did.

The entirety of Raw was like a two-hour Summerslam informercial with a mud wrestling match in-between.

"Business has just picked up" says JR. Then right on cue, Molly enters the arena! Never was JR any better in introducing someone. --Raw 7/15

The WWF/E nWo was pretty much the original nWO, and that wasn't exactly a raging success.
