I got no responses last week, so I think this report has just about outlived its usefullness. But since this is the last week before the end of Season 5, I'm gutting it out. I'm no quitter (unlike half the competitors).

I'm going to call it for LanceJr . With a 96 point lead, he'd have to mess up pretty badly to lose next week.

damn, I did horrible this week. Deciding not to pick the Kane Show was stupid. There this season's LOD x 100. Totally lost my chance at 3rd too with it. Oh well, its another PPV week already.

You all only have 8 hours or so to get the picks in for this week. In fact, this week should be easier as the main fantasy page tells you everything you need to know as you get set for a Raw, Smackdown, and a PPV. I hope to rise into the top twenty, and that's about all I can shoot for really.

It's still been fun to play this season; it's only that the early deadlines crushed some of us (well, I was crushed anyways). I need to keep a closer watch if we all get to season six.

Huge thanks to Boffo for doing all this these many weeks. It's been fun.

It has been good fun, but I'm surprised I did as well as I have. Mainly because I went on holiday for three weeks and had no opportunity to change my team (which was loaded with Raw guys due to Taboo Tuesday), and came back to find myself still in the same place I was when I left.

Sorry you got no responses, but I spent all of last week praying for Torrie Wilson to win both Raw and Smackdown World Titles. Although that didn't happen, I do have a shot at second now, so long as I don't do something stupid like jinx myself.

Hey, Boffo: I also apologize for not responding; with it being so close to the holidays, I've been busy. As a matter of fact, I'm quite a distance from my home, and won't be back for a few weeks. This has been the first time I've been online in about a week, give or take.

Keep up the listings, though...should you decide to get involved with the next season. Nobody could do it better than you.

LOL, you caught me. I noticed that was messed up after it got done.

I didn't mean to make it sound like people had to respond. That said, thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Almost sixteen years ago, when Hogan missed the legdrop, received a big splash from Ultimate Warrior and was covered for a three count, I always wondered what was going through his mind when he stood there, with the WWF Title belt draped over his shoulder, looking at the Warrior who vanquished him. I bet he wanted to take the belt and hit him over the head with it. But he didn't.

I know that's how I feel. But I'm not gonna do it either, even though I've played the heel this whole game. I totally want to bust LanceJr upside the head with the title belt. I'd enjoy that.

But I won't.

I'll go for the Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero WrestleMania XX ending instead. The Season 4 Champion stands in the middle of the ring now to pass the torch to LanceJr, my good friend, the NEW The-W.com Fantasy Champion for season 5.

LanceJr beat the shit out of me. After pounding on him for about seven weeks, he hulked up, pointed a finger at me and that was it, the match was over. Next thing I know I'm laying on the mat looking at the lights, wondering what the hell happened. Actually, I know exactly how he did it: He rode Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio all the way to victory, he rode them so much he gave them hernias.

Me, I bungled when it counted most. I gambled on John Cena, Trevor Murdoch and Trish Stratus in week 8 and came up short in every one. That killed me dead right there. I was ahead of myself with Cena; I needed him to wrestle in the main event of a RAW and he did it against Daivari the week after I picked him. But it was too late for me. I'm still and will forever be the First-Ever The-W.com Champion and the Season 4 Champion but I lost the chance to be a back to back Champion.

LanceJr deserved it. He was better at this game than each and every one of you, especially me. Congratulations, my friend.

Now I'm gonna get out of the ring and leave him alone to celebrate before I kick him in the balls and bust him open.

VIVA LA RAZA ! !

2689 points total
#1 ranking for The-W league championship
#28th in the entire Fantasy League

I am honored to stand here with my good friend John Orquiola season 4 champion, and crown myself as The-W Champion of season 5.

My strategy was simple but I can't tell you what it was because my plan to be the first back-to-back champion is already in the works. I did however take the game seriously and I guess too serious for some of the board members of this league and to them I deliver a big FU.
It took me 8 weeks then I came from behind (just the way I like it) and waffled my good friend in the back of the head with a steel chair and knocked him to 2nd place and never looked back.

Perhaps it was the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero that inspired me, or maybe it was just the fact John just like like in real life wants to score with Trish Stratus & John Cena and came up short. (There is a joke there but it's too obvious)

Anyway, I would like to thank all of the The-W League members and I look forward to giving you all a lazy pump handle slam, then stuffing worms in your mouth on my way to season 6 championship.

LanceJr finished 85 points away from going to a PPV at WWE's expense. Those numbers you had were before it added on the PPV points to the total.

If you didn't want to switch superstars each week, the best team would have been:
Bobby Lashley, Candice, Big Show, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Victoria, Mickie James, Sharmell, Eric Bischoff, Theodore Long, Randy Orton, and Booker T. If you had gone with them every week, you would have finished with 2720 points, which would have won you the The-W.Com League and put you at 19th place overall. Kind of humbling.

That best possible team for the whole game stat is pretty humbling.

Boffo, despite all the past controversy, good job compiling the stats and providing factoids like that. Also, great job in the game. For a guy who had a zero for week one, you came back strong and had an awesome showing.

What's good about this league are the personalities of the few people who decided to stick it out and try to make the game fun. Boffo provided the forum, tempting the dangers of the Z's tolerance, but Tribal, Evophile, and the rest, you know who you are, are the people who made it enjoyable. It's a lot more fun to play against people and not just anonymous team names. Hope everyone comes back for more and brings their A game for season 6.

Well, I really thought that I had a shot at 2nd place, but the tag title switch on Smackdown screwed my 'picking both teams in the PPV title match' idea. I knew it was all lost then. Plus those Lashley and Kash matches that came out of nowhere. Also Sharmell never won both World Titles during the Smackdown PPV (Damn backstage politics!)

So LanceJr gets The-W Fantasy Championship, John gets The-W Fantasy Intercontinental Title, and I get the third belt (Cruiserweight? Women's? I think the Women's one has more prestige to it, so I'll go with that one). I will defend my Women's Title during Season 6 honorably against all comers.

This was a lot of fun. I want to think Boffo first for the threads, and also the guys that made this a fun race.

Now I can go back to completely ignoring WWE programming while screwing around on my computer until the next season starts.
