WWE.com says

RAW picks first. And RAW gets 3 picks for every 2 SmackDown! picks because they have 3 hours.

There will be 6 pick off the NXT roster.

Tag teams can be picked as a single pick, unless someone just wants only one member of the team (when Raw picks Big Cass but doesn't want Enzo.)

Note: today is Sunday. The Draft is Tuesday. Plenty of time to change these.

Balor should quit if he's not one of the six picks. American Alpha was clearly being written out of NXT. I'd think the people directly involved in the NXT title picture wouldn't be touched, but I'm less sure with the women.

Raw getting 3 picks and the first pick makes no sense. So, Raw will get Ambrose thus running the fun of putting all the guys I like on Smackdown thus killing Raw.

How do you realistically explain not picking Joe or Nakamura? I guess they don't have to and they probably won't. I'm still going with Enzo saying something fresh to Steph causing her to break up the team.

Six guaranteed NXT picks feels way too high and just a faster way of damning new names into irrelevance. If they wanted to make a splash and make something count, they should have Nakamura get drafted at #1 or at Shane's first pick (would that be #2 or #3 in this 3-for-2 scenario?).

Shane spending his first pick to grab a guy who has never been on WWE television before would instantly make that guy huge, and Nakamura is the one guy in the entire world with the charisma, presence, entrance and theme song to instantly sell himself as this seemingly out-of-nowhere guy who justifies that kind of investment the second he shows up. More to the point, from a physical standpoint, Nakamura has the biggest ticking clock on his body where they should be making money with him ASAP.

(Also, Brock vs. Nakamura - BROCKAMURA - is pretty much my ultimate WWE employee dream match at the moment.)

NXT people I'd call up, assuming champs are off limits: Balor (now or never), Nakamura, Bayley, American Alpha (one slot). That's four picks. Maybe a curveball like Roode or, if he's healthy and ready as a surprise, Itami. It's hard to imagine being able to justify draft picks on anybody else.

(That said, they could have champions eligible, in which case Joe could come up with the belt and make the NXT title Smackdown's top belt, positioning Smackdown as the Shane McMahon Dippin' Dots Brand of the Future.)

Anyway, what's really important: who will be Mr./Ms. Irrelevant? (Ryder.) Also, the entirety of tonight's Raw should be a three hour draft combine show, with the superstars working out doing things like being timed in how fast they can get from the mat to the top turnbuckle and how much weight they can carry on their shoulders while touching all four ringposts and measuring their strength in slamming a cage door in the face of a tackling dummy. And someone should do insanely well in all of these areas, thus rocketing them up as a draft pick, only to completely bomb once on their brand.

It should be Curtis Axel. Curtis Axel should dominate the draft combine and become a top five pick with a massive, ironclad contract and then be a complete bomb who becomes the bane of the existences of his brand's commissioner, general manager and sheriff.

Balor, Bailey and American Alpha are the no-brainers. I think Nia Jax might get the callup also. Maybe the Revival too?

Balor I get why they didn't call him up yet, as wasn't really much for him to do, and he could have easily went the way of Neville. Now that there's a writes-itself feud with AJ, that one is easy.

Joe is tricky, because he's the champ, but I think he's got to get the call up. I don't think he'll go much of anywhere beyond the IC title, but he can slot into any mid-card feud effortlessly, and have a good match with anyone. I think you make him the first "surprise" NXT call-up & then have Nakamura take the belt off him at Takeover.

Nakamura is great. I love the guy as much as all of you. But he definitely needs some more seasoning before getting called up.

I wonder if the top names get picked on the 2-hour show & a.) we're told to then turn to the WWE Network for the remainder of the event or b.) the remainder of the draft will occur online the next day (like it did a few years back).

They are doing a simultaneous show on the WWE Network with SmackDown; I'm guessing it's just going to keep rolling after the TV show ends with the full rosters being announced. No way they can make it thru everyone in two hours.

Not that the "rules" actually matter, as this is just their way of presenting to the audience who goes where, but does this mean Raw's "first pick" is three picks?

No, that wouldn't make sense. Maybe Raw gets an extra pick every other round.

Everything is awesome.

Making champions off limits is unfair to them because being on Raw or Smackdown is being billed as a bump to a higher level, so in essence they would be penalized for being the best of the bunch. If you gave them the option to drop the belt for a chance to get drafted that would be interesting, a TNA Option C type deal, but simply denying them doesn't seem right.

I assumed they were going to stop the draft at some point and slot the remainders so they could avoid making the last guys seem like actual last guys, but maybe not.

It's far too late for it now, but this would have been PERFECT content for the WWE Network. Absolutely perfect.

Going by the lists on WWE.com's rules post, they are all separate, which is weird.

NXT picks: Finn, Bayley, Nia Jax, American Alpha, Carmella, Nakamura. Since they are apparently drafting women to two rosters, it makes since to call up three women. Bayley is beyond ready, Nia Jax is the monster they need, and Carmella with Enzo and/or Cass just makes sense.

They have to let them have a pick each before starting the 3 and 2 don't they? Raw starting with 3 picks seems madness. Even if they let Smackdown go first as they only have 2 doesn't seem right. 3 picks at a time will be strange. Hopefully they will show the GMs and/or Shane and Stephanie frantically scribbling names off of their long lists to see who they should choose next.

I doubt we're going to have a whole show of draft picks with no matches in between. Which means this will probably be like 10-15 picks each. Bray will likely be the only one that gets drafted live and the rest will just be thrown on his side after the fact. So we don't really need an explanation.

I'd love to see Roman-Usos go heel with Nia Jax as a bodyguard but I'm sure they'll debut her and then forget about her a month later like all the other women they call up whose last name isn't Flair.

I've always assumed that Raw was going to take the Shield fued as their top feud and Smackdown was going to take the Cena-Styles feud as their top feud. That makes sense if they're drafting 3 picks to 2.

Rumor is going around that Kallisto and Sin Cara are breaking up. If they're specify rules for breaking up a tag team then it's probably going to happen with somebody. Hopefully that's the only one.

Kalisto and Sin Cara are not listed as a tag team, but as individuals. They did a video saying it wasn't a mistake, and they wanted to remain friends but were OK going separate ways. This is probably not a great sign for one (or both) in the long term.

I've been thinking hard about the NXT mystery two all day, and I think I've got it. While Balor, Bayley, and American Alpha have been pretty much out the door since Dallas anyways, I think that Carmella, a seasoned female competitor whose boyfriend is already on the main roster, is the most likely pick after them. The final spot, I think, actually winds up going to a lower guy on the roster, Mojo Rawley. That gets them to the Hype Bros, and helps them further round out the tag-team scene. I feel pretty confident about those picks.

...seriously?

George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.

Didn't they do this with Tamina once? (Tamina's still employed, right?)

She was on Up Up Down Down awhile back. That counts as being on WWE programming, right? (She told a story about how she was in labor over an hour and didn't realize it because she was too focused on playing Golden Eye.)

Tamina's out with knee surgery though it sounds like she's close (month or so?) to returning.

I would just put the Mr. America mask on someone else and have everyone pretend nothing's changed. It'd be stupid as hell, but also very funny. It would also be a great way to turn Mr. America heel.
