WWE.com has announced that the 2009 Draft (wwe.com) will commence 8 days after Wrestlemania on April 13th.
Anyone else think that with the whole MyNetwork TV thing, that we'll be seeing Triple H back on Monday Nights again? I'd like the see the IC title go to Smackdown (along with CM Punk).
I am fine with Triple H staying on the show I don't usually watch. Koslov as well. I do not want Punk to go to Smackdown, although it probably wouldn't be a bad option. I think MVP would work well on Raw.
Plus, that can be the way that Christian gets out of ECW.

I think it's a really good idea to announce that the Draft is coming up months in advance to build some anticipation and hype for the event. It's better than Mr. McMahon coming out and announcing it with little fanfare. Now they can do magazine features, website features, video packages and such to get people excited. Works for ESPN with the NFL Draft. Maybe they can get their own "draft guru".
Originally posted by Matt TrackerI think it's likely this ends Miz/Morrison. And I'm glad, quite frankly (TM). Not every tag team should end with a split and feud.
As much as I hate the idea of this, I think it is a good idea ... I'd like to see Morrison solo & Miz paired up with someone else.
I'd love to see Christian on Smackdown or Raw but isn't he on a collision course to fight Swagger next? If Christian leaves because of the draft then either A) Christian loses to Swagger at WM B) Swagger loses the title to Christian only to have Christian be stripped of the title and have the whole title change be meaningless. Either result would be pretty lame. I guess they could go Swagger/Dreamer instead but then bringing Christian to ECW for a month and a half and then not even do anything there would be kind of pointless.
It will interesting to see which direction this draft goes regarding the level of talent that is exchanged. Two year ago there were very few big names moving and it seems like Smackdown! got royally screwed in the end. Last year the main even talent got spread around pretty well so it will be interesting to see how this is handled, and if non-wrestlers will be in the mix.
It depends on how the draft goes. I loved the original draft where everyone was picked to go somewhere. The last few have been ok, but the spin the wheel draft was just stupid. They usually change one main event spot, so I expect Edge/Christain to reunite on Raw and send maybe Rey or Jericho to Smackdown.
Actualy he wouldn't be striped if he won the beld and was tarded. Remind you that Lashly was only striped be cause he was in a fude with vince. Also Last year Triple H wasn't striped when he was traded to Smackdown.
Has any one ever honered the Roster split? I mean with people showing up on all the shows anyway does it matter?
C'mon, man, you couldn't find a way to inject El Locál in there while you're at it?Oh, I thought about it, but I felt like I used up my El Locál Fantasy Booking Privileges last month when I suggested a Del Rio/Rosa/Ricardo version of Cena/AJ/Ziggler.
