I'm not trying to knock on anybody at all, but I'll put it like this--

If you're a fan out there who is entertained by the product you see, fine. More power to ya'. If you want to support a wrestling organization that doesn't respect you or, more importantly, on the business aspect, YOUR $$$MONEY$$$ YOU put in to buy THEIR products and PPVs, and be a part of an audience that WWE sells to advertisers that make VINCE MC F;N MAHON RICH, go for it. You'll grease WWE's pockets with cash while WWE will continue to piss on you. I have no problem throwing my money out there if it's something that the organization actually puts an effort into creating. Is that hypocritical? Maybe. But why should anybody waste their money and time on a form of entertainment that's crap?

Remember. It's your money. It's your presence as a fan. And when other feds pulled the same shit, the fans let them know it, and those organizations, namely the AWA and WCW, folded. We should let WWE know it by simply not feeding their profit margin.

And further, before I stop ranting (or whining, as some people may see it), I just want to say that if anyone sits there and tells me or any one of us fans that "it's just wrestling, get over it," one of the reasons why many of us are here on this board (and other boards out there) is because we like wrestling, for whatever reason and to whatever degree. So to make that argument truly isn't fair.

To close (finally), WWE loses fans because we, as customers, are not satisfied, nor are we happy. The object of a business is to satisfy its customers to make more money. Period. IWC columnists have brought this fact up before, as I am sure others on Wienerboard have as well. If you like what WWE gives you, cool. Be entertained. No one's going to chastise you about that. But don't chastise those of us who are upset that we, as customers, feel like we get pissed on or fobbed off.

Speaking for myself, WWE lost yet another fan.

What I don't understand is that if all you can do is present a crappy awards show, why present an awards show at all for an event that doesn't require awards??? We didn't need some big stink about a two hour live show from the World. This would have been fine, and classier, if it was just JR and King in a studio in Stamford going year by year over the best clips for ten years. No anticipated no-shows. No superstars on video feed. No gratuitous male ass. Hell, if they might be worried that the past might look better than the present, leave it as an hour show so that you have less time to focus on each year, and how good or bad it might have been. No one asked to find out who was the best superstar in the last decade, or what the best whatever was in any of those categories in the last decade. For as little effort as they put into this show, it amazes that it could have been even better with even less overall effort.

High tide for the time being.

Ten years of great history and we get the Slammy's?

And to the people bitching about the "Diva Of The Decade" being Trish ... what the hell is wrong with you? Number one, who cares? Number two, they're fake awards. Number three, who cares?

I'm of the opinion that if you don't care about something, then why bother commenting on it? It's fairly impolite to say something like that. Just because you may not have been bothered by it does not mean it didn't irk some other people.

Not going to call anybody specific out, but a pet peeve of mine is showing up in this thread. Sharing your own opinion is fine. But I hate when someone decides that not only that they are going to share their own opinion, but they are going to tell others what their opinion should be as well.

I don't think anybody is being pissed on by a fake award show. This is just TV. If you weren't entertained, fine. If you WERE entertain, that should be fine too. Different people like different things. That doesn't make them inferior, or idiots.

First, I'm one of the defenders of women's wrestling but these are meaningless awards. The award came down to two egomaniacs that left the company, a fat drugged out skank, Trish and Lita. Lita's injured and couldn't wrestle when she wasn't so that leaves Trish.

I just don't see on a show hyped so much that delivered so little, that who is the best Diva is what people are complaining about. If that was one the biggest problems with the show for some people, well, more power to ya.

I have no issue with you not caring about the awards, or even posting that you don't care, as you just did. It just annoys me when someone demeans the opinions of others because they are indifferent to the subject matter.

I watched the first half of this, then set out for a bar. When I came home, the tape I had set at the beginning had reached the end of its SP taping ability, stopped, then rewound. I thought I was foolish to log on instantaneously, via cable internet, to find out what happened. Jesus, I was thinking, I am I so lazy that I can't wait for a tape to be fast-forwarded to the end?

I am that lazy. And, reading your comments about the end of the show, I am rewarded for that laziness. Thank you all for logging on and telling me how much didn't happen. Now I can skip watching the rest of the tape and use it for Futurama reruns.

It is my understanding that the fans voted for the greatest moment. It would be tough to place the blame on Vince and WWE for Stone Cold and the beer truck being number one if the fans voted for it.

If any of you had seen Sunny in the last year or so you'd know why she didn't win the award. Yech!

And if you HAVE seen Sunny in the last year, can you believe how hot she used to be? What happened?!

The problem is: if no one takes a stand against the crap that's being presented, WWE will continue to serve it. The Kiss-My-Ass club, for instance, which (for some reason) seemed to tell Vince that more backsides - especially male backsides - were the answer. What followed?

* more of Vince's bare behind, including the memorable night Vince galloped around the ring with his pants down, whacking his rear with JR's hat
* Angle's bare behind (not too bad, that )
* HHH's bare behind
* Jericho & Christian "naked"
* HHH in his underwear
* AL WILSON in his underwear

And of course, a whole bucketload of transparent excuses to parade surgically-enhanced "Divas" in flimsy lingerie. It doesn't do much for me - maybe because I see it every day?

I've got to say my piece, in the hopes that it's heard. And if I single out someone with an opposing viewpoint, it's because I want them to truly think over their statements - in light of what has happened and what may happen - to see if they really mean what they say.

Why shouldn't Trish win diva of the year, who would you give it to Chyna? The woman who forced Jericho and other to go half speed on her so she could fight with the boys and then no sold for Ivory and every other women on the roster. Sable? who's a primadonna who's only contribution is showing skin. Sunny? I could see Sunny but she's such a mess now. Lita? the women that stalls Matt Hardys career and who's wrestling has gotten worse over time... Trish is the best woman on the list. She's someone who actually seems to care about the business and isn't using it as a stepping stone and her speech was awesome and classy putting over everyone from the girls before her to Fit Finley and the division as a whole... Plus we got to see Trish and Lilian cheek kiss! Highlight of the Night.

Angle speech was funny, with the full works of the American flag and all.

I was rooting for Foley to win for Tell me I didn't just see that, just to see him. And when he won and no showed. It was really sad, I really wanted to see him, I didn't think he was in that bad of terms with the WWF.

How hated is the Rock in NY. I didn't expect that, even in his catchphrases no one was buying them.

Couple of the year HHH and Steph, certainly not a lot of competition in the category except for Lita and Matt.

That hand thing one an award, that pretty much taints all the other awards that were given out.

Austin is deserving of superstar of the year. Again for one moment I wonder if he'll be there. Then when Vince came out my suspicions raised even more. But Vince cut a heel promo and no Austin

Match of the Decade, really surprised their was no Benoit/Angle cage or Benoit/Jericho vs. HHH/Austin. I guess this match was okay from what they listed, and you got a bunch of midcarder able to go up and accept which is a nice gesture and cool gester from Bubba giving props to Benoit, Edge, Matt Hardy and Dvon.

Moment of the year I had a sick feeling that it was going to be Sable out of a sack but then remembered Beer Truck was still out there. Cool Moment.

I did like the failed gimmicks, even though some of them were actually pretty decent and over at the time.

Disappointing that no comeback happened, but I wasn't having my hopes too up for it so I wasn't too disappointed. I thought the show was pretty decent and I enjoyed it for the most part

PS. Someone should really tell Terri to stop. It's becoming sad, she's so hurting to still be noticed she wears the most ridiculous, exposing dress she could get away with. All the women looked great but Terri stop crying for attention

The Austin response reminded me a lot of WCW and Ric Flair. When Flair left the company in late 91 and when Bischoff fired him in 99 (or was it 98?), the chants would start. "We Want Flair! We Want Flair!". I just got those flashbacks hearing the crowd chanting "We Want Austin!"

I'm left wondering whether or not outside influences (automatic vote generators, meddling McMahons, and the like) had a role in determining the outcome of those polls. There's no independent verification of the votes, and voters have "tinkered" with polls on WWE's website before. Besides, isn't it handy that Vince is front and center on the most memorable RAW moment? (I know he was all over RAW for a while, but still.)

Wow, the fur is really flying here.

I was entertained enough by the show. Jericho, Angle, Shane, Booker, Goldust all made it worthwhile, I thought. And I enjoyed some of the looks back. The awards themselves were silly, but were you really expecting anything else from that?

It would have been super nice to have Austin return tonight, or Bret, but whatever. I wasn't really expecting it much anyway.

But I could have lived without the Triple H and Stephanie fetish show. eeesh.

That entire Austin thing was....weird

I mean I'm guessing the voting was rigged, so why have Austin win it if he's not returning (as Vince's little dig would suggest)?

Unless Vince's dig was in character (but it seemed ad-libbed, really) and leading to Austin's eventual return.....

Just weird

Okay...first ever post here...ready...here goes...

If Austin's not returning, then wrestling fans truly have nothing left to look forward to. Other than Al Wilson's funeral and the Dawn Marie-Torrie match.

I mean, the only reason I can think of for them not bringing him on (other than really not wanting him back) would be to save it for a later date. BUT, the WWE fooled everyone into thinking this would be his return, and it's doubtful fans would fall for it again.

Wow... allow me to raise a glass to the hecklers during the Rock promo. Think they've learned their lesson? Then again... who would pay $15 or whatever to go watch a two-hour glorified Slammy presentation? The hardcore fans... not the casual OMFG ROCK WHATWHATWHAT??? people.

Other than that... yearrgh. I'm not gonna quit watching or anything, but geez, was that show pathetic. I mean, the winners? In what universe? Oh, right... the scripted one. About 10 minutes in, I gave up all pretense of it being anything remotely objective.

Not having seen it (damn SKY..or is it a good thing?) I must say that is all sounds like a big letdown.

Some things though.
Raw is Owen is NOT the best Raw moment ever.
The best moment is one that has it all, enormous crowd heat, an interesting angle, a surprise, etc etc..
Thus The Beer Truck.
The Owen Tribute might have been the most emotional ever but doesn't have to be #1 for the single reason that Owen died the night before.
- I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, I love Owen and I had trouble watching the clips from a few weeks back, but I don't think it should be #1 because it's Owen..

Trish as Diva makes sense, Sunny had charisma, Sable was the first pin-up Diva, Chyna the first serious wrestling woman of the new WWE era, Trish combines all that.

Woah..the Rock gets booed and gets a boring chant..His promo was incoherent? He didn't have time to fly in? Maybe they went for that on purpose? Makes you wonder.

Sucks that Vince had to say he didn't invite Austin.
Either he lost his cool and blurted it out or again it is on purpose and they are going somewhere with this..
Vince: I HATE Stone Cold.
Eric: Then I will bring him on my show!

Match of the decade TLC4: Oh, sort of was to be expected they would go for something like that.

SIck bump: Kurt's moonsault...FUCK KURT!! Didn't Benoit do a diving headbutt from the top of the cage too in that match? Kurt Angle is keeping him down!
