And this time I won't quibble you, O Spiffy One. Noble's in my WWE Top Five and they damn well shouldn't have let him walk out the door. And where does this leave Chavo?
Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.
Top 5? He's my absolute favorite in the entire company. He works exactly how they want their cruisers to work. He's OK on the mic. He's got charisma. He's a great worker.
It's one thing if he asked for his release, but if not, I fail to see the logic, especially when there are better choices to be cut (Suzuki, Heidenreich, Scotty 2 Hotty, for example).
I just finished watching my ~6 hour comp tape of his stuff (some WCW, a lot of HWA, his 2 matches vs. London, his Velocity match vs. Rey).
While he was always good in the ring the WWE was never the right spot for him. The creative team obviously didn't have anything for him to do so why should he stay? I think its going to be great news for the Indy's though and Japan. The worst part about this is that Noble wasn't just some bland junior heavyweight this guy had great Mic skills it just amazes me that they wouldn't want to keep him.

Creative had an angle fall right into their laps. Or, should I say, right onto Chavo's head. Knoble stays busy w/ London & Kidman, Chavo returns & the 2 teams feud, Chavo/Knoble win the belts, London/Kidman feud, Chavo/Knoble feud with some face teams (preferably FBI). That would keep him busy going into the new year.
For crying out loud we got mable and Gangrel we don't need no stinking Noble!

I'd like to ban the next person who says "they got rid of Noble but kept SO AND SO BIG GUY" for four days, but I'm not sure my powers reach that far. It may (is) true, but the points been made multiple times in this thread already. Please at least fake you read posts besides your own.
This sucks for ME, the Velocity viewer, but Noble's got a WWE character that's generic enough he can use to draw but not get in trouble for copyright violations, and he's got a workrate rep that'll get him plenty of gigs.
He left because it was his best option, at least in his opinion. I'm all for people taking their best options.

Is there any reason to think his departure was based on something of questionable legality? I'm thinking of previous, sudden, mutually agreed-to departures like Grandmaster Sexay, Eddie, etc.

Someone said how Noble should go to the X Division in TNA. Well (assuming there's no no-compete clause with his release) - I don't think this would work out.
Why? Well, TNA already has a Jamie Noble i/e their own short, greezy haired, high-strung cruiserweight in the X Division.
Noble always worked best when Nidia was with him to add to the character. They should've paired him with Shaniqua and hd her squeeze into the ol' hotpants/halter-top combo. It would've taken off, I guarantee you.

This reminds me of Brian Kendrick leaving. WWE is NEVER going to give a consistent push to the Cruiserweight division, so it really probably IS in the best interest for these guys to try their luck elsewhere.
What I don't get is that Noble is one of the most pushed cruiserweights- there's gotta be something more to this.
EDIT: Nevermind- The Torch says he was terminated, and didn't leave on his own.

Fan, I would not be at all surprised to see Benoit appear at WM. However, I would be stunned beyond all words if they had Chris Benoit decide the WWF title match at Wrestlemania.
