| #1 Posted on 10.11.02 1524.49 | I like a few others have become fed up with WWE programming. I don't mind seeing Smackdown but I basically refuse to watch Raw. What other wrestling promotions would you recommend watching? I've watched some older Japanese stuff, like the 1994 Super J Cup and thought it was pretty good. I'm also waiting on some Toryumon tapes to arrive. Are there any other promotions anyone would recommend in Japan or Mexico, etc?

What was bad for awhile has really turned its game around over the past 5 weeks or so and the wrestling is now top priority. It's got a WCWish feel from around 1997/98 - but without the nWo/over 40 club stuff.

I seriously do feel that these guys should be given every bit of support we can give them. I think Jerry Jarrett recognizes that right now WE are their core audience and that's why they're catering to us by giving us good matches with guys like Ron Killings, Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles, Low Ki, the SATs (my favorite tag team right now), and many others. If they get our support, maybe the rumored Turner deal can go down and they won't be on PPV much longer.
If you want ANOTHER place to see tomorrow's stars today, I suggest you shell a few bucks over at OVWwrestling.com and check out stream videos of Ohio Valley Wrestling's weekly show. Jim Cornette can't be praised enough for what he's done with what he's given and it's just such a shame to see the stars he builds up get wasted once they make the big time (with the OBVIOUS exception of Brock).

Heh, you skipped over all of the guys I've grown to enjoy watching.
From the first week I saw them, America's Most Wanted came off as SO good to me. They were SO solid as a team, and it made me wonder just WHY they hadn't had a higher profile job in the business to this point, because they know what they're doing.
Kid Kash continues to impress me more and more as the weeks go by. He's improved since his days in ECW, and he was really good then too!
Scott Hall seems to be motivated and enjoy his job... Can't ask for much more out of the big guy.
They've got a great blend of old guys and new young hungry guys.... Give them time with better exposure and I think they may be on to something. They're NOT another MECW.
