Did anyone else see that 7-Eleven commercial with the souvenir cups? The four features cups are The Rock, Steve Austin, John Cena, and ... The Miz?

Are those the only four cups? If so, wow. What a commentary on The Miz!

Yep, that's pretty awesome (and I didn't realize that pun until I was halfway through typing the next sentence). Though once again CM Punk gets screwed on the collector cup front.

Whoops, there are apparently eight -- add Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Roddy Piper, and Shawn Michaels. Still some heady company, though, and something I don't think anyone would have predicted two years ago.

Since when is being on a cup at a gas station an indication of your stature?

Not that I wouldn't buy one if we had a 7-Eleven around here.

WWE wouldn't put your face on a cup if they thought people WEREN'T going to buy it.

From what I remember from Punk's guest spot on The BS Report, Punk isn't the kind of guy to put his face on products, go on the talk show circuit, etc. Miz is more that kind of guy in spades.

Although I am impressed that Miz made the cut before Randy Orton.

Yes, but being on the 7-Eleven cup isn't exactly the big confirmation on Miz's success. He was in fact in the main event of WresleMania.

Which brings up the point, if they really wanted to sell more cups, why didn't Punk get one? Would that have hampered the "I'm leaving" storyline?

I guess I don't get your original point then. He's a big star not because he's on a cup, but he's on a cup because he's a big star, therefore an indication of his stature of being a "top guy" (whatever you consider that to mean).

Nearest 7-Eleven is 300 miles from me.

Still sucks why so many legacy wrestlers are on the cups. Did you see wrestlers from the 70s and 60s on stuff during the Rock-n-Wrestling era?

Time to promote current talent more.

I believe I read it's also a tie-in to the latest video game, WWE All-Stars. Hence the old school and the new.

These cups were designed and agreed upon and manufactured months ago, well before Punk's famous promo.

No Divas on the cups this year is notable (by me).

Orton, Rey, Piper, and Shawn are on Super Big Gulp cups. Cena, Miz, Rock, and Austin are on Slurpee cups. A world of difference, you see. They were advertising them at my local 7-Eleven yesterday but didn't seem to have any.

Unrelated news: the Golden Fruit Smash Slurpee is pretty good.

Got a Rey cup today.

I had to. My local 7-11 is the only place around where you can get Mountain Dew Code Red on tap (and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper).

Though some others have retired, Roddy Piper really stands out as the lone "old school" guy on the cups.

Hoping that Punk brings this up on RAW at some point.

After he finds a urinal to throw up his Slurpee in.

Do they have Pepsi Slurpees? I've only seen Coke.

Come to Canada. I could show you many wonderful things, including (but not limited to) Pepsi Slurpees.

First...the name. I'm sorry if this has been discussed recently. But, I really believe my love for wrestling began to wane in the days after The World Wrestling Federation changed it's name to WWE. It's a lame name. Right?
