| #1 Posted on 23.8.04 1112.38 | Instant Rating: 10.00 | (reposting from thecubsfan.com on the guess I might say the same things if/when a thread starts here. You can find the PDF I culled all this info from on WWE's corpbiz site and decide for yourself.)
- Overall, things went up, though nothing skyrocketed. Which would be great, except they don't expect to keep increasing at the rate the experts are looking for. They're up 11 cents a share this quarter, and they're projecting to finish the year between 46 and 50, but the experts are looking for 63. Stock is down a half a point as post this.
- The increase in PPVs in the last quarter was specifically noted; they had 4 instead of 2 because of GAB and Vengeance happening to fall into this quarter. The big point is even discounting those extra PPVs to compare with last year's Qtry, they're still up.
- Actual digits are mentioned for PPV numbers (instead of graph estimating).
Judgment Day 220 Bad Blood 264 Great American Bash 233 Vengeance 232
Bearer's death and JBL/Eddie II ever so slightly out drew HHH/Benoit and Edge/Orton. Those numbers are still subject to change, but I think between that and what number the Kane/Lita wedding gets tonight could have an influence on how they proceed.
- International attendance is up 7,000 per show while NA attendance has dropped 9,000 per live show. Which is why they're going overseas more.
- Both shows are down .2 ratings point from last year at this time, at 3.7 (RAW) and 3.1 (SmackDown!). They expect to be in a 3.5-4.0 range for RAW this year (right on) and a 3.2-3.7 range for SD! (underperforming)
Didn't listen to the teleconfrence. Maybe later?

Vengeance also suffered from being the last of those three PPV's in 6 weeks and did better then I expected. It also suffered from being the last one before SummerSlam.

| #4 Posted on 23.8.04 1156.39 | Instant Rating: 6.33 | For the curious, the Q4 2004 report says that WrestleMania XX did 885K buys and the Rumble did 582K buys. All four PPVs in the fiscal 4th quarter (Rumble, No Way Out, WrestleMania & Backlash) did 2.4 million buys, so simple math states that No Way Out & Backlash averaged 467,000 buys each. Makes sense.
Live event revenues were UP in Q4 ($22.2M compared to $19M in F2003) by doing 87 shows rather than 74 in F2003. But live event revenues in Q1 F2005 were down slightly ($17.9M from $18.1M) and they did 89 shows compared to 84 the year before. It's expected that business will pick up during the "busy" season (Q4, the Rumble to Mania corridor) and they'll end up making more money from more shows.

Wow -- that sounds pretty high for three days. Any idea how well the Flair DVD did (I'm assuming the bulk of it would be from the previous quarter), just to compare...

Since the beginning of Q4 to now, revenues from ticket sales are UP by $3M. Assuming there's a low-water marker for how much they have to make to break even, they're still doing well. Not great, as Cubs said, but not bad.

| #10 Posted on 23.8.04 1240.10 | Instant Rating: 1.82 | Exactly, they're UP $3 million dollars...they never claim that the amount of people going to the shows are more, they just claim they make more money from them...
They've now cancelled at least 2 shows due to poor ticket sales, and the amount of people going is obviously not to full capacity...
So if they raise ticket prices (which they did because Chicago's prices for their events have gone up a good 25%), they off set the lack of people...

| #11 Posted on 23.8.04 1319.37 | Instant Rating: 10.00 | PWT and PWI both have recaps of the conference call. Didn't look like they dropped anything new this time; usual "DVDs are selling good" , "24/7 will be great", "NA attendence is going to rebound soon! and we're going to do a better job of promoting them" stuff.
They're budgeting $20mil per movie. Someone who knows more about movie costs can let us know exactly how low that is.
Sounds like the Taboo Tuesday show will be doing online polls to create matches/stips.
The rumor that they were going to do something along the WWE Fantasy/eFed idea seems to be true, and it'll be up starting in October.

But with the way the attendance is now, there's no way they're making as much money as they had in the past because of the amount of people...it has to be due to the ticket price...
