Or, maybe he included her because Janet Evans made her mark in an era of international swimming with these achievements:

She participated in three Olympics and won four gold medals and one silver.
She was a member of the U.S. Olympic team in Seoul '88, Barcelona '92 and Atlanta '96.

In 1986, she won her first three national titles in a U.S. Open swim competition, in the 400-meter freestyle, 800-meter freestyle and 400-meter individual medley.

In 1987, she won the same titles at the same national meet.

In Seoul '88, she won three gold medals, in the 400-meter freestyle, 800-meter freestyle and 400-meter individual medley.

In Barcelona '92, she won a gold medal in the 800-meter freestyle, and a silver medal in the 400-meter freestyle.

She holds two current Olympic records, in the 400-meter freestyle (4:03.85) and in the 800-meter freestyle (8:20.20), both set at the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

She also holds world records in the 400-meter freestyle, set in Seoul '88; the 800-meter freestyle, at 8:16.22, set in Tokyo '89; and the 1,500-meter freestyle, at 15:52.10, set in Orlando '88.

She holds six American records, in the 400, 800 and 1,500, both in meters and yards.

She won three gold medals and one silver medal in the World Championships.

Politics is perception. He has lost the faith, trust, and backing of the people he is supposed to represent. Because he has put himself in this position (guilty or not)
