Well, Rodney Mack showed up on Raw around the same time, so I guess there's your official trade. Though it was never mentioned on TV as such.

Ah...yet a very good point...the brands are very distinct now. There hasn't been trade since last year has there? I think it's time for them to go a step farther some how. Mabe not in seperate PPV but something better than what we have now.

I don't believe he was talking about the wrestling business, rather expansion to other areas. Here's a farfetched example. Imagine Smackdown Records, instead of being a dismal failure, being extremely succesful through the advertising the bands received on WWE programming. WWE, then, IIRC, would be in trouble, because they would have used their monopoly to help expand their business into other areas.

NOTE: The above post makes no sense. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Naw, Jail would have to be working a program with Nathan Jones.

So for once, Vince's incompetance at areas other than wrestling actually pays off.

Nah. I wasn't talking about the "brand split"-- that's no different, legally, than General Motors putting out different "competing" car models.

But if an oportunity existed where McMahon could use his alleged monopoly in professional wrestling to gain a monopoly (or an unfair business advantage) in a non-wrestling industry, then action could be taken. For example, if McMahon were to produce a non-wrestling product that would almost exclusively appeal to a wrestling fan, advertise this non-wrestling product in its broadcasts, PPVs, and TV shows, and refuse to allow competitiors who also produce this non-wrestling product to advertise on the WWE, then you might have a legal problem.
