I was surfing the web and happen to hit on some good news. Eddy Guerrero will be in town. Wrestling with Disco Inferno, and Terry Funk at the Horse track. Man, how bad must that feel, wrestling at a horse track. Well anyway, I am going just to chant, "LWO, LWO, LWO". I probably will be the only one, but when among the 35 people that actually show up, it will be quite loud.
I remember last year I was watching a local station at around 2 in the morning and happen to catch Marty Jannety wrestling at a bar. They set a ring up in the middle of the dance floor and there had to be about 50 people there. He was dressed like he was in the Rockers and expecting HBK to show up for a reunion. I thought to myself, "WTF are you doing?" I mean, he can't be getting paid that much to wrestle when there are only 50 people watching and the trip to get there would take what he was getting paid. It is cool for a young guy to do that, but Marty would not be confused with anyone young.
I guess you do what you have to do, but it does kind of make me sad to see it happen. Either way, I will be at the track to see Eddy. I wonder if you can bet on the outcome of the matches???
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
What actually saddens me more is that Terry Funk will be there too. I bet it will be his 1,000,027th retirement match? Guess he never was able to save up some money?
Guys like Eddie and even Disco should be at a higher level than that, Terry should be at home enjoying his rest. God bless Foley for making enough money with wrestling and his books that he can actually sit back and enjoy his life now.
Imagine this is some funny signature. Then I will imagine you compliment me on it.
