    Really, now.

Santino may not be the best wrestler in the company but surely he's not bad enough to be replaced by Maryse.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

UNDERTAKER vs. TRIPLE H

Shawn had it exactly right after he bailed from the right and told Trips he was sorry. Hunter, you can't win.

MIZ vs. JOHN CENA

All depends on where it's placed. If it goes off as the main, Cena walks out with the title. If it doesn't, Miz makes a name for himself. Any confrontation between Rock & Cena happens after the match (Rock costing Cena the title is too obvious, and if Miz is to win, better it be clean). I think Miz should win, hence that's what I'll pick (and it won't be the main).

And no, Cena doesn't turn heel. Anyone who thinks he does or heads that way wasn't listening to his promo on Monday.

EDGE vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO

If I was booking, I would add Christian to the match at the last second and book him to win it with a pin on ADR, continuing the story of ADR getting his from Christian and setting us up for another one of Edge's psycho heel turns against Christian. I firmly believe if E vs. C is where you're headed, you've got to turn Edge because they've never worked against each other that way before, whereas heel C is old hat.

I don't think they'll go that far, but I do think Edge retains, likely with Christian's help, as ADR just isn't worth the effort they've put into him. He's unover and BORING, which is stunning considering the character that he's blatantly ripping off (I had a lot of things to say about JBL, but I never could say he was boring).

MICHAEL COLE vs. JERRY LAWLER

As Steve Earle would say, Cole shuts up and dies like an aviator here.

RANDY ORTON vs. CM PUNK

Correct booking says Punk wins clean and gets his just revenge for what Orton did to him at Unforgiven in 2008. WWE politics say exactly the opposite. *sigh*

REY MYSTERIO vs. CODY RHODES

I agree with Nastio's logic: Rey hand-picked Cody as his opponent, and Rey hasn't lost a WM match in a damn long time; what's the point of going through all this if Cody isn't going to get one over on Rey?

JOHN MORRISON/TRISH STRATUS/SNOOKI vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER/LAYCOOL

Wrestlemania rule of celebrity matches says the faces win, which is the LEAST of what Morrison deserves. (I still don't believe they actually jobbed him to Vickie Guerrero a few weeks back; it's pretty much exactly what I feared would happen when it became apparent we weren't getting the MITB that Morrison sorely needed here to keep his momentum going.)

SHEAMUS vs. DANIEL BRYAN

Here's your obvious curtain jerker. Sheamus retains because there was little point to doing the switch when they did it if Bryan was just going to win it back here. (I'm still thinking it would have made more sense for them to just book the "win or quit" match here rather than two weeks ago so the stakes were higher on both sides of the equation, but that's just me, probably.)

KANE/BIG SHOW/SANTINO MARELLA/VLADIMIR KOZLOV vs. CORRE

The 50/50 rule says the Corre goes over, but it's not really as much of a need for them as you might think, and I actually think the better booking is to go with the big guys (and Santino) because Santino deserves it for being a freaking heat machine and he and Kozlov could use the further boost for the eventual tag title rematch that they'll lose. Plus, it's Wrestlemania, and you don't want TOO many heels going over unless it's needed.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Punk's revenge was costing Orton the prestigious WWE Championship, beating him with the GTS at the Elimination Chamber, and breaking his knee. WWE politics put Punk in this high profile match.

last match: Rock's Rock Bottom or uranage ends up costing Cena the match with Miz after a complex Pat Patterson ending of twists and turns. I think it's a great surprise finish and Rock costing Cena the main event of Wrestlemania is worthwhile and newsworthy reciprocity. Miz bragging about winning here would be really big for him, and it's plausible since they started doing surprise retentions at WM24. Guess you'd still have to do a hot Rock/Cena brawl to end the show on a real upnote?

Undertaker beats Triple H. Michaels gets involved, kicks UT, dramatic pause, kicks HHH. sets up dramatic 2 count. Taker wins with the Tombstone, obv.

(Two interferences in the top two matches though, that doesn't seem so likely. Maybe no Michaels now that I think about it.)

Edge retains WWE Title to prove that people who think they can predict things can't. Threeway next month.

Lawler smashes Cole of course. Yes on Jim Ross announcing. I mean how can you not. (Still perfectly conceivable that they cannot.)

Orton over Punk. The only question for me is whether or not Punk gets CM Punted. I think Punk escapes the kick to get his heat back. Punk hasn't done a job since he joined Nexus, I think it'll be okay if he loses here to the #2 babyface in WWE.

Rey vs. Cody -- I think either guy winning is fine as long as they have a chance to have a strong match and they keep the feud going. I'll take Rey. I really hope the Rey Mysterio Wrestlemania Curse is broken -- no great match at Wrestlemania in eight years, always shortchanged on time or gets injured when could've been in a huge celebrity program (Floyd Mayweather, Donald Trump).

SnoMo over LayColph. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi pins Layla for the flashbulbz.

Corre over SKSK. Barrett should pin Show with the Wasteland to kind of salvage the last couple months for him.

Sheamus over Bryan. Sheamus. I don't think it's getting too much time. Put me down also for "why didn't they save the title change for here instead of beating DB repeatedly."

And I guess I'll take Mark Henry in a dark battle royal. no racism intended.

After explaining why The Rock had turned heel. (The Attitude Adjustment reminds me of the match approximately 15 months ago where the Undertaker chokeslammed John Cena for no apparent reason, leading everyone to assume they were setting up Cena vs Undertaker for Wrestlemania 26 and then it was never mentioned again.)

I do believe Rock costing Cena the match via Rock Bottom/People's Elbow will be the pop of the night. We have to realize the fans in Chicago are going to be the same type of fans at Mania, people who hate Cena and also have money to get into this thing. Cena gets booed every year at Mania, so why this year when he is feuding with one of the popular wrestlers of all time, he would get cheers is beyond me. Yet, the Mania crowd is a weird bunch at times, so I could be dead wrong.

I also don't see Cena as the face in Rock/Cena. Cena's promo was not a face promo either. It was the catty "How Dare you judge me." Followed up with the I love the kiddie fans and the fans booing me right now and since I stopped rapping can kiss my ass. That is all I got out of that promo plus actions speak louder then words. Cena's actions were that of a heel probably worse then Miz who at least faced him when he attacked Rock.

Plus, Edge as a face is new hat. I'd like him to stay babyface for more than six months since he's only just recently started to click at it. Double plus, Christian was being set up to turn heel on Matt Hardy before Matt went off the grape end.

If it's my choice I wouldn't turn either of them, because I think there's more of a shelf life to the E&C reunion beyond the two matches they've done to re-establish them as friends forever/shocking turn!? But given the option of a major program with Edge or going back to working with Drew McIntyre, I'll take the big feud. The matches would be substantially better than they were in 2001 too.

I meant that more from a "heel C vs. face E" standpoint. I agree with Justin that it probably should be a good LONG while before either of them get turned, but if you're dead set on feuding them again soon, turning Edge is the better choice because it's fresher in terms of the matchup.

Miz over Cena- The telling thing here was the new title belt. NO WAY do they present a new belt and then immediately take it away from its creator(it took a while for Ted Dibiase Sr. to "lose" his Million Dollar belt).

Taker over Triple H- HBK superkicks Trips leading to pin.

Del Rio over Edge

Rey over Rhodes- Rey comes in as Green Lantern...sort of.

Corre over the faces- We got the trombone thing on Monday, so Wade, his crazy facial feature in the match graphic, and his friends win. Gabriel pins Kozlov into termination.

Lawler over Cole

Sheamus over D. Bryan

Snooki/Trish/Morrison over ZigLayCool

Orton over Punk

Battle Royal- Yoshi Tatsu wins.

MIZ vs. JOHN CENA: Cena wins if this match goes on last, and then Cena and Rock will have some kind of interaction. If it's not on last Miz wins.

UNDERTAKER vs. TRIPLE H: Taker wins

EDGE vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO: Del Rio wins after some E&C "miscommunication"

MICHAEL COLE vs. JERRY LAWLER: Lawler wins. Cole and Swagger get beat by Lawler, Stone Cold, JR, and the diva's. This pleases the fans greatly.

RANDY ORTON vs. CM PUNK: Punk wins by cheating and this fued continues.

REY MYSTERIO vs. CODY RHODES: I'm going with Rhodes

JOHN MORRISON/TRISH STRATUS/SNOOKI vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER/LAYCOOL: The face team wins Snooki pins LayCool and Trish beats up Vicki.

SHEAMUS vs. DANIEL BRYAN: Sheamus retains in a hard fought back and forth match. This feud will continue.

KANE/BIG SHOW/SANTINO MARELLA/VLADIMIR KOZLOV vs. CORRE: The Corre wins this one, but the faces stand tall after the match.

Interesting card, I went back and forth with picks a couple of times. With the exception of the Rey/Rhodes match these could all go either way and it wouldn't hurt anybody's momentum.

Technically I suppose Otunga laying down for Slater & Gabriel to move the titles off of Cena and Otunga was technically clean, but that's obviously not what you meant.

vs. Batista at Elimination Chamber, February 2010? Although that match was set up to cost the already weakened Cena the title, so although he was pinned cleanly, it wasn't truly a clean loss.

Which brings us back to December of 2009, Tables, Ladders & Chairs, at which Cena lost the title to Sheamus in a fair and square match, albeit simply by being pushed through a table.

The best I can determine, the last time Cena was pinned clean was three years ago at Wrestlemania XXIV in the triple threat against Randy Orton and HHH.

It's possible that Cena hasn't been pinned clean in a one-on-one match since as far back as 2005, I'm not interested enough to read through every Raw recap going that far back, though, and I'm sure someone will come up with something I missed.

Miz vs. Cena: I've loved the Miz run with the title so far. I think a win here sets him up to be a main eventer for years to come and since WWE is moving younger, he shocks everyone and wins here. Any Cena/Rock stuff will be afterwards.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio: Again, a chance where WWE can make another huge star in one night. Plus, I don't think ADR won the biggest Rumble ever if he wasn't getting the belt.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan: Probably going to be the best wrestling match we'll get. I pick Sheamus to retain since losing the title so early in his run hurts him.

Snooki/Stratus/Morrison vs. Ziggler/Laycool: Anyone who thinks Snooki is a bad thing may want to consider how many casual fans she may bring in. My wife hates WWE but loves Jersey Shore and is actually watching the show with me to see Snooki. Faces win.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes: Rhodes has been AWESOME in this feud so far, I think he wins here and moves towards IC title status.

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk: I'm a huge Punk fan, but he's gotten the upper hand in this feud for the most part,so he's due to lose. Should be a great match though.

Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler: I have this awful feeling Cole is winning this one then getting his comeuppance afterwards.

Corre vs. Santino/Kane/Big Show/Kozlov. This match is going to be pretty dreadful, Corre wins to build more credibility.

Undertaker vs. Triple H: Foregone conclusion Taker wins, but it'll be fun to see how they get there.

Let's see. Cena lost clean to Randy Orton in HIAC and Triple H on Raw in October 2009 and was eliminated by Wade Barrett at Night of Champions last fall.

Orton lost clean to Jack Swagger at Extreme Rules and to Edge on TV sometime last summer.
