I don't think they'll do two WrestleManias in a row in the same city.

My money'd be on St. Petersburg, Florida. There've been rumors about a 'Mania at Tropicana Field for quite some time now, and XXI might be the one.

This is of course if live attendance doesn't erode further than it already has. Granted, Wrestlemania events typically sell out, but who knows if WWE can sell out a 40,000-seat dome in 2005.

There's a smaller arena in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area called the St. Pete Times Forum (formerly known as the Ice Palace). It can seat up to 27,000 for hockey games (should easily break 20k for wrestling events) and would be a suitable alternative if WWE cannot sell out Tropicana Field.

That will also help if there's another 'security risk' a la WrestleMania VII. :)

Rob asks Dave and Ric if they want to go backstage to play Hungry Hungry Hippos and Flair and Batista immediately bail. Flair wants to be Green. Man, EVERYBODY wants to be green. Except the girl in the commercials. She wanted to be pink. That either means that the ad agency was sexist or that she was communist. Of course Hungry Hungry Hippos is a rather capitalist game isnít it? No self respecting communist would play Hungry Hungry Hippos. Except Stalin. He LOVED Hungry Hungry Hippos. I've heard that Vince really wants to go back to the AstroDome at some point because of how hot the crowd was for WrestleMania 17.

They might not return to the buildin so soon. However, they did it for Anaheim for 'Manias XII and XVI, so you never know.

When in doubt, book the Skydome. They'd get 50, 000 there for Mania in a bad year.

Of course, last time they were in SkyDome, the crowd was DEAD (aside from the Hogan match). That's not really a good atmsosphere to have for WrestleMania.

I don't agree; the Skydome crowd was far from dead. I had ringing in my ears for two days afterwards to prove it. It might not have been as hot as the Astrodome crowd, but X8 didn't give a whole lot to cheer about in comparison either.

Well, it wasnt like they had a lot to cheer about. I mean, other than Rock-Hogan...what else was there?
Austin-Hall? Kane-Angle? Booker-Edge? And the ending was a celebration by HHH, who hasnt ever meant anything to Canadians.

I am sure they are going back to stadiums after XX. I have heard that they want to go back to Houston, but to the Reliant Stadium, where the Texans play since the Astrodome most likely will not be available for events by the time WWE wants to come back for a WM.

How about going somewhere different like coming here to the UK again. everytime they sell out arenas here for house shows (Insurrection, Passport to Pain etc.).

For a proper PPV the crowd would be wild. They could go Old Trafford in Manchester (60000+), Hampden Park (40000+) in scotland, the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff (72000), Villa Park in Birmingham, Stadium of Light in the North East. All suitable venues but with the roof the Millenium Stadium would give better atmosphere.

Time differences aside, I'd love to see them do it overseas if it's not going to be within driving distance for me. The Wembley Stadium SummerSlam had a really cool vibe to it, despite the fact that it was garbage aside from two matches. If they're questioning whether they could draw 60-gr to a stadium on this continent, maybe they should go abroad because they'd definitely sell out WrestleMania in a country that only gets live shows once or twice a year.

Speaking for myself, I kinda enjoyed waking up at 3:30 AM to watch Olympic hockey back in '98...I think it'd be a cool thing to do for, say, WrestleMania from the Tokyo Dome.

They had WM3 at the Silverdome when the Silverdome was relatively new. WrestleMania hasn't been back to Detroit since and there's the brand new (and awesome) Ford Field now. I think it's only a matter of time before they have WM there or maybe that's just wishful thinking by this Detroit native ;)

I think going overseas, such as the UK, for WrestleMania would be really cool and could probably create an AWESOME atmosphere for the event.

The downside, however, is, obviously, the time-difference. So they'd either have to tape the show and air it later (which I seriously doubt they would want to do (especially with the internet producing spoilers within minutes, nowadays)), or they'd have to do it at a really akward time.

I wouldn't bring it to the UK because a) time differences and b) attendance was down for Passport to Pain tour. I'd like to see it stay in a normal arena. For me there is a much better atmosphere in a 20,000 seater then a 60,000 seater because of the air in the arena. My favourite arena is probably the Anaheim pond in California, if it returned there I would be happy.

Hell, at this point in North America I'd settle for a feud with momentum, period. The hardest thing this year on my RSPW ballot was picking 3 feuds with legs. Usually that's the easiest thing to fill out.
