I paid $50 and almost fell asleep half way through! The only thing keeping me going was waiting for the Undertaker and a bet I had with some friends. I would rank this Mania 3rd worst! Here is my rankings of WRESTLEMANIA! 18 17 6 12 14 11 10 16 19 1 4 3 7 8 2 9 15 20 5 13

Well, the fact that you put X8 above everything else and X in 7th place says quite a lot actually.

OH YOU SUCK
"the fans, who would have given a moderate pop to a Trish/Jericho union"
It would've gotten a huge pop, because a) it was built to for five months, b) people love Jericho, c) people love Trish, d) people would've been happy for Jericho and Trish finding true love because they love them.
"Second, they'd further bore me with Trish's babyface character."
You know what could be boring is Trish's in-ring as a heel, since she was such an adorably precious babyface who everyone got behind. But we'll see.
I like the booking a lot, because it makes Christian a player and should get Jericho over huge as the jilted party babyface, but don't pretend that the kiss wouldn't have been over big time just because you hate Romance.

I agree with Shapiro, perfect booking for Christian/Trish/Jericho here. Backlash is gonna rule. (like always) :D

Oh ho ho ho ho. Wait buddy. You're not being serious, correct? Because the last three - THREE - Backlash shows have been *really bad*.

Eddie, which was about ***1/2. Compared to some of last year's cards, that's some good shit.

You know what, you're right about Edge and Angle. What was the main of '02, however? Oh yes - HHH v. Hogan. (I wasn't being sly to debunk your theory, I just couldn't remember.) I think that match was so bad it made the whole card worse.
ALSO Undertaker and Austin went 27 grueling minutes. No.
But I guess it was passable, so you're still right and I was still wrong.

Backlash 2000 had awesomo power and like, no bad matches, but then it all kinda went pear-shaped for 2k1 with that horrible tag-team ME. Then 2k2 sorta redeemed the swankness, although that Austin/Taker match was like watching a small child being repeatedly punched in the face. Then last year's sucked Hugh Grant's balls and LIKED IT, DAMMIT. So hey, if the pattern holds true then this year's should be at least watchable.
