I though the same thing. I guess Kayfabeing the location isn't important anymore. Like how The Undertaker is from Houstin, TX? Shouldn't Kane be from Houstin too?

The Dudleys have been announced as being from NYC for a little while now.

The announcement of "Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia" during Benoit's entrance was a little bit of a head-scratcher though.

For that matter, why announce Benoit now being from Atlanta a month before the Edmonton PPV?

Undertaker is the Saint of All Killers. Sign him up for the Preacher movie right the fuck now. The show was going eh, besides a hot first hour and a half and then the heavyweight matches worked their magic and left me completely spent. Kudos to the WWE, a good Wrestlemania is all a fan can ask for.

Also, Brock Lesnar getting the exit he deserves, having his match ignored by the fans at MSG. Classic.

Caped Boy: Excuse me, ladies. You may remember me as the guy who came to dinner a few weeks ago with underwear on my head. My name is Keith Stat from Milbourne, New Jersey. State bird, the mosquito. And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
[He chuckles, and there is an awkward silence at the table.]
Caped Boy: Anyone? Alexa!
[Alexa gives him a withering glare.]
Caped Boy: Maybe you would like to join in? We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me.
Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag!
Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
[Keith walks off]
Alexa: Ewww!

I'm not creative enough to add anything original to what's already been said.

But this was my house during the main event...

At the end of the match, HBK goes for the superkick and gets dumped. HHH kicks Benoit, sets him up for the pedigree, reversal into the crossface.

All of a sudden, everyone's out of their chair. I'm laying down by the tv, smacking the hard wood floor, yelling, "TAP, TAP you motherfucker!!!"

HHH edges to the ropes.. closer...

"Ah shit, he's in the ropes."

Then the best thing that possibly could have happened, happened. Benoit somersaults and all of a sudden, they're square in the middle of the ring.

We yell like our high school team's about to win state. He's SO FUCKING CLOSE. I wonder about Michaels... BAM BAM BAM, I'm taping the floor, but I know he won't tap. There's no way in hell. No way.

Then he taps. HHH taps. To Chris Benoit. The finish that a grand total of zero people in the room predicted.

Everyone goes apeshit. We all forget that we have jobs and lives to get back to tomorrow.

It's what wrestling's supposed to be. The thing you can't describe to someone who doesn't share our hobby.

And I don't know if it makes up for everything he's done, but tonight, HHH paid me back for every screwing ending, every ref bump, every sledgehammer shot, everytime I've bitched over a faked sport and a faked show. Right now, he's cool with me.

If it was all a plan to turn me back into a mark, it worked. It was all worth it. When Eddie and Benoit hugged in the middle of the ring, we all might as well have been in there.

Because the good guys won.

Wow. A cable mishap caused me to miss the first few matches, although I got it working in time to catch the end of the Jericho match. That Trish is EVIL!

I loved it when J.R. basically said that the crowd was unhappy because the match sucked (I believe his exact word was 'pedestrian'). I've never been a bigger fan of Steve Austin. Stunnered right out of the WWE!

That's the FIRST time I've ever seen an efficient live hair-shaving. I half expected Victoria to say 'This is all wrong! She should be AWAKE for this!' and then dump a bottle of water on her face.

I missed most of Angle/Guerrero, but the finish was really cool. Amazing that Eddie cheated to win!

I liked the hall of fame segment. At first I thought they were BOOING Junkyard Dog until I realized they were barking.

I thought of something funny, but I'm sure someone else will make the joke (or already has). Instead, is Chris Benoit *really* from Atlanta? He could have moved.

The main event reminded me why I'm a wrestling fan. Amazing, just amazing. *That's* the Triple H I've been missing for so long. And he tapped out cleanly. I still don't believe it.

So...how are they going to top THIS one next year?

EDIT: Oh, I had forgotten about this one last night, but Paul Bearer had a pretty cool line he said to Kane, 'You're no son of mine!' Nice to see that little nod to the past.

    DISAPOINTED!!!

If I had 4 months off, my hair would have been longer than that. His hair should be down a little past his neck by now. He sould have at least TREIED to look like the Taker of old.

But no. What we got was the Biker Man doing a Dead Man impersination.

OK, first, the average person's hair grows about 1/2" per month, so no, unless you attached extensions, yours wouldn't be any longer. Going from short hair to "just past the shoulders" would take most people a little over a year. (And blaming UT for this is silly - darn him for not trying harder to grow hair!)

Second, time moves in one direction. Let go of '92, cause it isn't coming back. Nostalgia would have worked fine for tonight, but what do you do tomorrow?? WWE tried to create a new image for the UT that combines past and present, and I think they did a great job. UT has always said the UT image was based on the undertakers from the old west movies, and now he's just got a different version of that going on.

Third, no it wasn't a bad segment cause you have a hard-on for Molly's hair.

Fourth - oh yeah, thumbs way way up for one of the best WM's ever.

At WrestleMania XX-One, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit puts his title up against challenger Kurt Angle's career in the devastating Shark Tank Match, with real live sharks. In an exciting conclusion to the night Benoit forces Angle into retirement by stuffing him down the mouth of a shark and then pinning the shark.

HOLY SHIT...AMAZING...

Anyone notice Triple H was motioning towards his throat as Benoit had him in the Crossface near the end? I reallllly hope they don't do some stupid swerve where Triple H whines and either gets a rematch or the title back (claiming Benoit was choking him)...bar that, it was amazing...

Performers of the night: Benoit, Flair (man oh man), Eddie/Angle...

Not the best, but awesome none the less...oh by the way, we all know Chicago has the best crowds for wrestling events, bar none...

what are you talking about? Jericho screwed her over first by making that bet and playing wit her head. What she did was just revenge, so it looks to me now they are even. I just don't get how Christian can beat her up pretty hard, and then be with him at the same time.

Where was Paul Heyman during WM? I mean, if Bischoff can get a stupid cameo to tell Coach to look for UT, why can't Paul E get a 1 minute little bit between matches? Speaking of 1 minute and under TV time, whatever Billy Gunn gets out of his 2 seconds of PPV time is TOO MUCH. I rather see Tommy Dreamer or Lita get that paycheck.

I miss the GWF.

I think he should go back to SmackDown!, but I bet he goes to RAW. The next PPV is in Canada and RAW only. Plus he might go heel and join up with Christian again.

Plus, I was thinking. Rock, Mick, and Goldberg are gone. RVD and Booker T are a Tag Team. HHH is going to go shoot some movies and HBK has a ACL problem that might need surgury. RAW needs main event talent. Who does Beniott face? Kane? SmackDown! atleast has Kurt Angle, Eddie G, Big Show, The Undertaker.

I do wonder what it would look like if they adopted a "freemium" model, where you can watch some of the live stream for free but it blacks out during PPV streams or something.
