My brother-in-law, 4-year-old nephew, and I are making the short drive up to San Jose/Santa Clara for Wrestlemania this year. We have tickets for the HOF and 'Mania, but we're trying to figure out exactly how Access works before tickets go on sale. The plan for now is to get VIP tickets to meet Daniel Bryan Saturday morning (I've never been more proud of him...he chose him over Randy Orton) But how exactly does it work? Does it get us into the building all day, should we look into buying regular passes for Friday as well? I'm planning on doing the WrestleCon show after the hall of fame, even if I just get to see the Colt and Friends bit. Any other hints/tips/suggestions?
I thought about doing this when I went for Mania. Axxess gets you into just access. If you do VIP, you may also get autographs from the non-vip guests on that day as well at no extra charge. So, you are good for that day.
This is where mt memory gets fuzzy on if VIP Axxess is like VIP for Wizard World where it becomes a three day pass. I am thinking not. I would assume getting there early, I mean early would benefit you if you want to do autographs than Bryan. VIP should allow you to skip ahead of people who purchased regular passes for Bryan, but I would still line up early not to be that guy. Depending on the line and time, there maybe no guarantee if you show up late that you would get the autograph. I have seen that happen a few times at Wizard World too.
When I went to Axxess, there were different sessions. We went to the morning one. I don't think they let you stay all day, because there are people who bought tickets to the afternoon session.

Would it be impossible for the venue crew to completely close up for an hour to give it a quick cleaning? That way, there's nobody in the building at that time.
Not sure if it's realistic for it to be so simple, but who knows...?

Pretty sure that is what they do. Its not that hard for a convention center to do. It might be a 2-3 hour break.
Highlight for me in New Orleans was just standing watching NXT matches. I don't care for standing in line for an hour for an autograph from anyone. Instead I got to watch a Mojo Rawley match with Norman Smiley next to me observing him from the crowd POV.
I suspect that WWE's splitting of the PPV's has a more significant reason behind it...It gives Linda a built-in excuse to continue to explain the downturn of the business during financial calls. Which sounds better in the mind of shareholders?
