Frankly, as good as a 19-hour WrestleMania is ever going to be, and a great night for folks cryin' over wrasslin'. The Iconics, Roman, Kofi, Becky - waterworks all around. Plus, most of the matches were solid, and I was good on p. much all of the finishes. I, like many, wish that Becky had a more decisive victory, and I really wish someone had checked the angle on that replay before they aired it, but overall we can just pretend that replay never happened tonight and go with it. I'm cool with that. I wish they'd learn to cut some of the dead weight that always creeps in around the 10pm mark, but really, there's not a lot more you could have asked for on this one.
Dolph DrewJericho Tracker had to call it a night after the Kofi win, which is a great place for an eight-year-old to stop, especially when Cena comes out for the nut/bush rap. He'll watch the main event today after school.
He never lost faith in Kofi even when I did. I snarked my way through the pinfall, thinking no way do Kofi and Gargano win the belts in the same weekend. But there it was, and we cheered and clapped and aww'd over the kids.
Holy God, Randy Orton is dull.
I read in a few places this morning that the winning Lynch pinfall was a botch. I guess we get the rematch tonight for the proper submission win.

I think the botch was just Rousey's shoulders coming up a bit. Ref was legit out of position to see them, and it didn't seem like anybody noticed until the replay, which they cut short and didn't go back to. I think she was supposed to eat the flash pin, but either way, a decisive rematch tonight wouldn't be a bad call.
Originally posted by KevintripodI hated Rollins winning with a heel-like nutshot. Completely took a lot of air away from his win over Lesnar and ruined his win for me.
In context it made a lot of sense, due to Lesnar pulling the ol' dirty pre-bell beatdown. Poetic justice, it seems to me.
Exactly. I had a much more wordy (and dumb) reply before I scrolled down and saw you posted that. While not "clean," the cheating went both ways here and Rollins beats Brock quickly and decisively.
Really weird that both world titles went before the secondary title matches, but considering how damn long this show was, you could really tune out after Kofi's win (or leave the stadium and get an Uber) and get most of the good stuff.
Kofi winning the title is awesome. This is exactly the kind of stuff WWE should be doing and actually makes it seem like Vince meant what he said in that weird promo a few months back. Of course, this won't last, but even if Kofi lost the belt tomorrow (I doubt he will), it wouldn't matter.
Becky winning both women's titles and closing Mania is also awesome, or at least, it should've been, but man am I tired at that point.
And then some other stuff happened that I didn't really care about, but all the babyfaces going over like they should at Mania is something we haven't seen in a long time and I'd like to see more of this in the future. Hopefully, Brock takes a hike for a bit so we can end that lame-ass era and leave it behind so the talent can grow instead of being stomped down repeatedly.
I have to say one thing though, yes the show is 100 hours long. But this year (and last year too actually) WWE manages to keep it rolling. In the past they'd have 30 minute non-wrestling with just appearances, backstage skits and singers that sucked the flow out of the night. Now they just do promo/match/promo/match. TO me, watching it on tv at least, that works much better.
Can they cut some crap? Sure. But at least the focus is on in-ring action.
HHH-Batista, I hoped Dave would win (Hunter can still do the "you force me out of retirement!" thing down the line anyways) but for what it was, it was an good brawl.
Having Heyman come out at the start was awesome. It kinda added a level of unpredictability. And in 2019, the face nutshot to stop the unstoppable heel is a standard thing. David would aim for Goliath's balls in this day and age for sure. Seth winning was obviously the right thing.
Old School Cena was funny (and probably the only way he doesn't get booed) I hoped for more from the US title match. Mysterio's Mysterio outfit was great though. IC title match was ok, and it's good to see Balor has started to fight differently when he's the Demon. That powerbomb was great. Aj-Orton...meh at least AJ won. Roman-Drew...blah of course Roman won. I know there was more matches but that's what I recall right now
Kofi winning, I didn't expect it but am happy it happened. That was a great match. The female championship match was also great. They even tried to do the "3 ppl in the ring at once" thing a few times which added to the chaotic nature.
I'd put this in Movies, but let's face it, you're not interested in reading this for the MOVIE. Paul also talks a bit about WWE Films and hits on his own current role with WWE, both in front of and behind the camera. Click Here (thedivareview.com)
