I would pay real money (for an Observer sub) if someone could get Meltzer to stop using this phrase on a daily basis.
Sad thing about it is I've been one of those idea generators for an indy promotion...& that's a half truth though sometimes the stuff changes but usually not the outcome. Story, a bit, character alignments but "this will change 20 times" is probably exaggerated some what but not a whole lot.
Meltzer amended this on his audio last night and said that Undertaker/Sheamus is the idea for the WM streak match, but that the guys in the unification match, if they go through with it, will be determined based on whoever's got the titles in a few months.

Well thank you Captain Obvious. (Meltzer not JustinShapiro)
Taker away from the title match would be a sound move. However, in order to plant a seed of doubt in the mind of the PPV buying universe that the Mania streak dies going for 19 to Sheamus, doesn't Taker have to have a Mulkey/Horowitz style losing streak until Mania? Have him completely lose the feud to Kane, lose to whomever he feuds with next, gets bounced from the Rumble in 20 seconds and then have Sheamus try to completely annihilate him with the only thing left for Taker to hold onto being his Mania streak.
1996 was a lot of fun ... for the folks at Turner. WCW was the hottest show on the planet, delivering the goods regularly. There were twists, good storyline progression, and a complete overhaul of the roster.
