I'll start it, but you'll finish it.

We have three new Champions and WWE is trying like hell to make you happ--well, less UNhappy. Did it work?

I think I wanted more entrances, less concerts, less video packages, less daylight. The current direction and certain influx of new talent/reintroduction of existing talent bodes well, but - again - not ready to get my hopes up.

Ultimately, I'm not cancelling the WWE Network tomorrow, so although my expectations are probably the lowest they've been in yonks, I have to say the show was probably "good enough." I guess we'll know more in about 24 hours, as has been the case in recent years. (I won't be starting THAT thread, by the way.)

I was pleasantly surprised, but I too, had lower expectations.

I was hoping for a Flair appearance during the Sting match, but oh well.

The biggest question I have is what now lies ahead for Lesnar.

Generally enjoyable show. Most disappointing moment was Rousey playing nice with Stephanie, but that segment explains why HHH had to go over Sting... 50/50 booking for the Authority.

    YOUR THOUGHTS:

That's a pretty accurate summary of my own thoughts as well. It was an okay show; kind of boring in a lot of places, surprising in a few, and genuinely good here and there. I would have loved for them to have stolen 15 minutes from virtually anywhere on the card (but Rock/HHH promo, I am looking HARD at you) and given it to the ladder match, which was criminally short. I also can't be the only person who thinks that they are missing the boat big time on a Rusev face turn. That guy's going to be a monster babyface, but I don't know if they'll ever get on board because he's "Russian."

The world title finish was...creative? Not the worst idea they could have run with, by a long shot, and it actually did a lot to protect/build up all parties involved. Rollins has a truly staggering number of credible challengers at this point, which is good, and has been the de facto champ for the last 6 months in any event, so ultimately I guess I'm pretty happy with where we finally landed.

Thoughts:

a) Damn. They didn't even job Reigns to Brock, they jobbed him to Rollins. Ouch.

b) When they first announced that Rollins cashing in meant a Triple Threat match, I was incredulous. But a few minutes of thinking and it makes sense, even in a Kayfabe way.

c) Wyatt gets the cool entrance & not Taker? No idea where they go either of them now.

d) Orton hitting the RKO from the Curbstomp made me go "Holy Shit" out loud at home. Move of the night.

e) Best promo: Stephanie.

f) Really interested to see where the feuds head on Raw. Rollins/Orton? Rollins/Reigns? Rollins/Brock?

g) Agree with CRZ overall. Especially on the concerts. At least get B-lister or someone relevant to WWE somehow. Kid Ink? Really?

h) Re: How to execute a Rusev face turn: C'mon people, does nobody remember the Nikolai Volkov face turn?

i) Stop with the old guys already. Taker can dial in a solid Raw-level match, but not anything for Wrestlemania. HHH was OK, but Sting was mad, mad blown up. Did nobody notice how knackered he was & how he barely got through the last 2/3 of the match, despite all the shmozzery & resting?

Who knew you could use the MITB briefcase mid-match to create the Triple Threat?? Genius...I was predicting a Roman win that was immediately cut short by Rollins, but I doubt anyone saw it working out that way. Oustanding.

The only real misfire I thought was the overbooked Sting vs. HHH nWo-DX wackiness. HBK being a heel for a moment because he's beholden to Hunter, and Sting losing his only (?) WWE match? (Unless it isn't?)

Everything else was pretty great and entertaining, the two pre-show matches were fun (aside from the Big Show getting a win vs. giving Sandow a big moment to cap his official face turn). All the Special Entrances were outstanding. The women were allowed to work a Real Match at Mania for the first time in a few years. Wyatt looked good against a healthier Taker...and I couldn't even remember the last time that Taker had a Mania opponent who wasn't a Big Name Main Eventer. (Wikipedia tells me it would be his casket match vs. Mark Henry at WM22.)

And Steph's heel-tastic trash talking is always amazing.

The show was enjoyable enough. I appreciated the concert because it lasted exactly as long as it took me to do the dishes.

I have to give the commentators credit because I was pulling for Big Show to win based on their storytelling, despite predicting Mizdow for the win. They did a good job getting Mizdow over and giving him his moment, however.

HHH vs Sting might be the most enjoyably overbooked schmozz I've ever watched. I'm not sure what the point of HHH going over was, but perhaps Sting didn't want to win what may be (in his own words) his last match.

It was nice of them to give Undertaker a pointless win since they pissed away his streak with the main event.

The pop up RKO out of the Curb Stomp was a thing of beauty.

My takeaway from the show is anticipation of the Miz/Sandow confrontation tomorrow and hopes that Camp WWE will be funny. Also, I'm glad I didn't waste $9.99 on this show.

Stuff I liked:

Real good Battle Royal. I might be the only person who is okay with Big Show winning.

The ladder match was swell.

Everything about Rusev-Cena was great, well, except the finish. Not so much that Cena won, but how he won plus it looks like they are splitting Lana and Rusev

The main event was so good that I don't know how I feel about the finish. I don't know if it was needed. It was ballsy. I'm gonna need to mull that over, but Reigns held his own in there. A real hard hitting match, both guys took a pounding.

Stuff I didn't like:

I hated Helmsley-Sting. It wasn't good. It made no sense. It wasn't for me.

Neither was The Rock segment. That was long and I don't care about those people.

I'm with CRZ, too much daylight.

Everything else was fine. I'm undecided on Taker-Bray. I felt it was missing a lot. I'm not sure if Taker was playing a really old man, or if he just is one now. Probably the latter.

I wasn't as high on the show as my Twitter feed was, but I liked it more than I thought I would. Enough happened to draw me in a little longer. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to lose all the goodwill this year.

Lance Storm actually predicted the exact ending.

Also, in the pool of how quickly Reigns would get busted open, who had Brock bleeding from 4 different places?

I think that was the part of the ocntract that was vibrating in the briefcase.

I didn't come across as positive on the show as some others I've read. It was good but some things didn't sit quite right with me.

I watched for the Sting match, hoping he and Triple H would pull out a Sting/Flair-esque battle. I thought they focused way too much on Sting being from the WCW. I mean, that storyline could have flied a lot better 10-12 years ago. Along with the overbooked nonsense that killed the match. And why would the nWo help out Sting, who was basically their biggest enemy the entire run? I was kind of expecting them to beat him down at the end, given the history.

I also thought the Daniel Bryan backstage thing was cool, but also a big "we're sorry, so here is a cool Mania moment for the fans"

As much as everyone seemed to enjoy the ending of the match- I would really like the Wrestlemania main event not to end with a cash in like that. I think it just cheapens the build up and the actual match, which was getting over pretty well. I do like it as a plot device to get the title off of Lesnar without him actually being taken down.

I kept going back and forth why the Taker/Wyatt match went on so late. First I thought they wanted it dark. Then I thought it was the ankle. The day light ruined that big match feel.

What was up with the entrance music sound? It was way too low. Do they really just play it back through the crowd mics? I thought they would put it right into the sound output.

I hope the abusive boyfriend doesn't ruin Rusev.

Every matchup felt fresh. Best thing about this Wrestlemania by far.

How old is Rollins?

Brock bleeding was amazing. But the ref putting on glory gets killed it for me. I thought he was going to patch up Brock and halt the match. #MoreBloodPlease

Hey, the briefcase has a second function! Give your next big star his title push AND get your company out of a tight booking spot. That was about as gracefully as they could have possibly handled that, while still keeping Brock looking like a killer beast. The odd man out, of course, is going to be Roman Reigns, who's going to get painted with the old "choker" label for failing in his big moment.

I do not get the point of killing Wyatt for the second Wrestlemania in a row. I just do not get it. The one positive here is that Undertaker looked far better than he did last year, but further burying a potential top-level heel is just staggering to me. I don't get it.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan: YOUR midcard champions! This is the landscape we live in.

When I read cfgb's Fastlane recap last month, he pointed out that the Triple H/Sting feud seemed like it was being set up to be more about Hunter's legacy than Sting's. After watching tonight's match, I don't see how anyone can possibly dispute that. That match was a complete car wreck that, of course, ended with yet another chance for Vince McMahon to piss on the old WCW grave, because 14 years of it just hasn't been enough. This wouldn't be such a big deal if they didn't book the WORLD'S LONGEST TRIPLE H PROMO (and for him, that's saying a lot) to set up...God, I can't believe this...Triple H and The Rock: 500 Times in a Lifetime for next year's show. There isn't enough aspirin in the world.

I don't think anything tonight legitimately depressed me more than The E doing a symbolic "takeback" of Cesaro's original push by having Big Show toss him out during the ARMBAR after a failed bodyslam attempt. I was honestly crestfallen to see that happen. The disappointment quickly turned to anger when they pissed away Sandow's big moment for yet another chance to spotlight Big Show.

To answer CRZ's original question, I'm less unhappy, but man, is there still a lot to be unhappy about.

Lesbar-Reigns was definitely the match of the night much to my surprise. For those that believe Lesnar is a talentless hack or just a duplex only guy you were proven wrong. That was a hard hitting match and with a really creative finish, as I was glad Lesnar didn't job to either guy and was kept super strong. The result of HHH-Sting disapointed me, but did not surprise me. HHH has now beaten pretty much beaten every big star in WCW history. You had to know something was up when he never got the advantage heading into the match. I thought Sting looked real good, but the match was overbooked and the NWO helping their mortal enemy out made no sense.Where was Flair or the one ally that never turned on Sting in Robocop? The finish reminded me of the finish of the HHH-Goldberg match with the sledgehammer and it being a buzzkill. They hinted at a HHH face turn after the match, but that wasn't to be. I guess we're getting Rock-HHH at next years wrestlemania, I much prefer Rock vs Brock. The rest of the show was really strong though.

Great show. Nothing overtly bad match wise, some creative finishes and a fun crowd. I loved Rusev's entrance most of all.

Read it and weep, fella

Main event was awesome. I give the rest of it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Some good parts, some not so good parts.

I knew they were gonna pull out all of the Sportz Entertainment stops for HHH/Sting, but the finish was stupid.

I liked Buzzcut/Mohawk Undertaker better than Just For Dead Men Undertaker. Still thought they really dropped the ball by ending The Streak Last year.

All that stalling during Rocky/Rousey vs. TripleSteph and it still was daylight as hell outside for Taker/Wyatt. I haven't seen a daylight Taker entrance since Wrestlemania 9.

How much of that World Title match ending was "This was totally our plan all along, you impatient f*cks", versus "Oh crap this isnt going well at all. Good thing we still have this awesome Plan B up our sleeves!"? I remember asking myself the same question last year.

Came in with low expectations, left with arms raised in celebration at Rollins' cash-in.

The youngest was pulling hard for Harper, but was glad that Bryan won. That dueling headbutts spot was ridiculous.

Bray with the entrance of the night in my book. Looking back at the 21 victims on the Undertaker's list, it makes all the sense in the world in hindsight for Bray to lose tonight. He is great in my book, but he isn't Brock Lesnar.

Passing thought during that match - I would love to watch a Bray Wyatt - Kevin Owens match. I could see KO coming down to the ring with a can of gas and a match for the scarecrows.

Loved the story they told with Lesnar - Reigns; that Lesnar may beat the everloving tar out of Roman, but he wasn't going to get pinned anytime soon. Really like how Brock told that story with his face as the match progressed. LOVED everything about the cash in, just fantastic.

Given watching this at home, I enjoyed the Network experience this time. No skips to note, and the pause functionality worked out well for getting kids to bed, etc. The concert, recap stuff, and Rock segment provided ample catch-up time.

This was a definite 10+ out of 10.

I had Rollins winning the title (not quite the way it was done). The end was done to perfection. I had a feeling that when Rollins/Orton was done 2nd on the main card, it gave him time to prepare for the cash-in. As for the match itself, it showed how dominant Lesnar could be. However, ringposts and Lesnar usually do not mix. I could see Rollins get a standing ovation when he comes out wearing the belt tomorrow, which we have to get reacquainted to now that it will be on all the time.

Sting/HHH was OK, even though it was overshadowed by the DX/NWO brawl. Protect the old guys in the ring with more old guys outside.

Cena/Rusev was good. I was surprised that Lana took a bump that led to the finish.

Ladder match was great. I loved when Harper did the Terry Funk spin around with the ladder around his head wiping everyone out. Another crack-up was Bryan and Ziggler head-butting each other on top of the ladder for what seemed like a minute or two. Ambrose really took a sick bump that led to his likely end of the match.

Undertaker/Wyatt was better than expected. The walks to the ring felt a little weird with both coming out at dusk instead of complete darkness. UT did look better than last year. UT sitting up when Wyatt was doing his upside down crab walk was a moment.

The ARMBAR was good. I was impressed with Itami stepping up to the main roster for a night after winning the NXT mini-tourney at Axxess. I have seen him on NXT, and those that haven't seen him, you are in for a treat once he is on the main roster. About time the Miz/Mizdow split was official. I am looking forward to this feud. Good for Big Show winning and posing with the trophy afterwards. Next question is how long until the trophy is broken.

Rollins/Orton was good, but the RKO from an attempted Curb Stomp was outstanding. Just as we have seen them all, Orton gets a new position for the RKO.

Authority/Rock & Rousey was good, but was going a little long.

The other matches were what they were.

The funniest moment was the Daniel Bryan interview. Once the legends were coming out, I had a feeling that Ron Simmons was going to come out with the punchline. One word...WM paycheck. Love that life.

No problems at all with WWE Network this time.
