I hate what they've done with Shinsuke. He was able to end his NJPW run as such a weirdo precisely because he'd spent 8 years establishing himself as the most bad-ass MFer in the company & slow-burned his way to his his weirdoness.
Even in NXT he kind of went this route. He got over with the fans based on his entrance & charisma, yeah, but they were pretty familiar with his NJPW work already, and his first match with Zayn really established his "strong-style" cred, as did his run with Finn.
In the E though? He's basically the Velveteen Dream with less mic skills. "King of Strong Style" seems like just a nickname with no basis in reality. They just threw "the artist" gimmick out there based on his cool entrance & mannerisms (which have become way too exaggerated) with no sense of anything behind it.

If Reigns never beats Brock, however undesired the result, we’ll be stuck in this time loop forever. We’re trapped, forced to relive the same year over and over again, until this one event happens. Seth Rollins interfered with the timeline at WrestleMania 31 and things haven’t been right since.
Maybe if Reigns beats Brock, Sting will have retroactively beaten HHH at WrestleMania 31 once the timeline is fixed...

And that's why I thought cubs' thread title was really, really clever and not just a typo.

For the life of me, I will never understand HHH going over Sting. Never.
I think we're doing a lot of over-speculating based on Angle seemingly being in no condition to wrestle, and Brock "flaking out" on Mania to return to the UFC. I posit that Angle and Brock are both contractually committed to wrestling at Mania and will be there. This steroid thing is a bit of a cloud over Reigns, but by this point he could shoot up in the middle of the ring and Vince would ignore it.
That said, it does seem weird that WWE is seemingly leaving itself with booking room to account for possible injuries and absences. More guys could be added to Miz/Rollins/Finn for the IC title, there could easily be some kind of ladder match or multi-man for the US or Smackdown tag titles, plus there's the Andre battle royale.
Cena and Strowman could both be shoe-horned into either main event relatively easily, and if both come off as scheduled, Cena vs. Braun makes sense as a big match itself.
George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.
This Brock thing is just posturing. We went through the exact same thing 3 years ago. Brock showed up at a UFC or whatever and re-signed with WWE. Then fought in UFC anyway and won.
And hey, maybe he actually does go with UFC this time. Once he’s done his business with Reigns (which was presumably agreed to A YEAR AGO), all he really has left are some “for funzies” matches against some big hoss dudes like last year. He’s basically with WWE specifically to put Reigns over.
Originally posted by JustinShapironobody even booed when Reigns won. they just groaned. they can't even push him by having him win Royal Rumbles and stuff, they have to hide it by pretending he's not pushed hard and having him sneak over at the end of the Chamber and then get laid out. all this so TBD can kick out of an F5 to no pop. I am speculating their match won't even be at the level of their first one because it will be at the end of a 9-hour show and the crowd won't bother to give it atmosphere through an opposite reaction.
Reigns going over Bryan at Fastlane 3 years ago should've been the clue that Vince doesn't give a shit. Roman isn't going anywhere, just like Cena didn't.
In fact, along with CM Punks forced heel turn in 2012, it only just misses out on my top 3 WWE 'moments when you really should've stopped watching' list:
1: Cena 'hugging it out' with Rock 2: Austin turning back heel at invasion 2001 3: HHH not turning face the night after WrestleMania X-Seven
I would say that order could very well change come April 8th, but in all honesty I haven't watched in over a year now & couldn't give a toss. My only interaction with the word of wrestling comes via this place or wrestling forum now, why continue to tune in if it just continues to disappoint & makes you feel miserable?
To give this a bump, it looks like the card will be...
* Cena vs. Undertaker * Rousey/Angle vs. HHH/Steph * AJ vs. Nakamura, WWE title * Brock vs. Reigns, universal title * Charlotte vs. Asuka, Smackdown women's title * Alexa vs. Nia, Raw women's title * Miz vs. Rollins vs. Balor for the IC title * Orton vs. Roode vs. Jinder for the US title * New Day vs. Usos vs. Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown tag titles * Braun Strowman and nobody?? vs. The Bar for the Raw tag titles * Either Shane vs. Owens vs. Zayn in yet another triple threat, or perhaps Shane/mystery partner against Owens/Zayn * Andre battle royal for the men * The name-to-hopefully-be-changed battle royal for the women * Cruiserweight title tournament final
The CW title match will definitely be pre-show. You'd got to believe one of the battle royals will get moved to the pre-show....the women's match is more historic, yet WWE may want to subtly bury this thing given that they named it after a corrupt pimp.

I have hopes for Cena/Taker because, even if Taker can't go like he used to, he can tell a story. So can Cena. I don't expect it to hit the heights of the Shawn matches, but it should be a right proper opera. Which is easier to type than say.
Seems like Woken/Broken Matt will have some prominent placement, not just participating in a battle royal.

The Bar deserves better than to be buried by Strowman.

Maybe he's sad that it's not "Shane McMahon Presents WCW" anymore. Or maybe it's a hoax. Splits working for me so far, it's nice to see some of these guys on TV again.
