Any NYC residents here that could tell me the names and addresses of good bars to watch PPVs at (preferably for free) or places to see indy shows at? I'm thinking about spending about a month there before 2004, and I'd like to see some wrestling, live and on TV.

Thanks in advance.

Best place for indy wrestling in the city, that I know of, is the Elks Lodge in Queens, which regularly plays host to ICW and USA Pro Wrestling.

"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.

The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"

I don't think it was WWF putting Verne Gagne out of business, it was Verne Gagne who put himself out of business. It's also kind of weird that WCW even in it's last weeks was drawing more then double what Impact draws today on Spike.
