| #3 Posted on 29.5.02 2309.11 | I think the GM knows exactly what he's doing. He worked with the A's, who are by far the best run team in the game. He's rebuilding the team, and that's always painful if you're used to a contender, but sometimes it has to be done. If you look at the A's, first they developed a killer offense with underrated vets like Matt Stairs and young guys like Ben Grieve, but Gil Heredia was their ace pitcher. They were still able to make the wild card like that. Then they brought up Hudson and Zito and became a true force. I see Toronto doing much the same thing. They don't have any pitching at all right now, but they will put together a good offense in the next couple of years, and by the time they're done doing that, the pitchers should be ready.

And as for the B-Jays...two guys are worth watching: Roy Halladay and Carlos Delgado. That is all.

| #8 Posted on 31.5.02 1218.23 | | I feel for Blue Jays fans. I'm a Tribe Fan, and it is really hard to see the team in the land of mediocrity again. What is the attendance like at Skydome? Attendance is down big time at the Jake, I don't see how Tribe ownership will get $$ to pull the team out of its downward spiral. Just wondering if the Jays are going to be in a similar situation, or if their ownership has deeper pockets. | haz

Carlos Delgado is only worth watching if you like to see someone loafing his way down the base line on ground balls.
I like watching Cruz play, he seems to be giving it his all.

One word... STRIKE...
If there ends up being a strike (which also goes with my theory of the MLB being out to make sure my Red Sox never win the World Series), Toronto will be finished.
