I ask this because I am sitting here watching Road House, and the line "I used to fuck guys like you in prison", while funny, is also perhaps the stupidest thing said in the whole history of cinema. Did that start with Top Gun? Another line that sucked "Hold me, like that time on Nabu" (might be paraphrasing a bit). YOUR 2012 NCCA Tournament Bracket Challenge Winner

Bugs me ten times more when people say that in real life, and then laugh like it's the first time anybody has ever said it.

Did that start with Top Gun? I'm pretty sure I first heard that when I watched the old James Bonds movies on TBS. Either way, it's been around way too long for such a dumb phrase to still be used.

Brell from No Holds Barred also has his share, such as insisting on calling people 'jockass'. I'm still figuring out the implications of 'go take a leak'. IIRC, on the 'I Love The 70's' special they did on VH1, they totally mocked the line from 'Love Story' ("Love means never having to say you're sorry"). Can't say I disagree; I have yet to think of a stupider line than that one.

I love cast commentaries, but from older movies/shows that are just making it to DVD, not just released movies/shows. The commentaries on all the episodes of Red Dwarf are a pretty good listen. They all have stories from back in the day.
