| #2 Posted on 19.1.02 1840.15 | Won't be surprised to see Raiders upset the home Pats too. When Jim Miller took that nasty shot, I thought it would be a repeat of the 49er-Bear game when Miller got a spinebuster sack and Matthews brought the Bears to OT and victory. Guess I was wrong.

| #3 Posted on 19.1.02 1846.34 | I hope the Eagles don't go to the Super Bowl. Sure they've played great the last two weeks, but the barely won the weakest division in football. I just don't think they're that good.

| #5 Posted on 19.1.02 2324.43 | To put it simply, the Bears need a quarterback. If both your quarterbacks combined pass for 90 yards and an interception, and the opposing quarterback passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns (as well as running for a meaningless touchdown late in the game), your team is likely to lose.
Whether this means that the Bears will try to draft a quarterback (shadows of Cade McNown lingering there) or obtain one through trade/free agency (shadows of Rick Mirer lingering there), who knows?
Let's just hope that things go better for the Pack...

| #6 Posted on 20.1.02 0545.43 | Gotta give 'em credit though, Stephanie... the Bears went from worst to first with a rag-tag bunch of no-name players and rookies.
But I agree with you. If they're to take the next big step, Chicago needs an upgrade at quarterback.
Then again, no one ever accused me of being a football expert so...

BUT
I want the Eagles out of the playoffs and the Rams are the best chance of that happening.

| #9 Posted on 20.1.02 2252.55 | I agree wholeheartedly about the Bears QB situation. Here's my dream scenario:
-Jim Miller is given a suitcase and a hearty thanks and told to go seek his fortune.
-Shane Matthews is strapped to the wrecking balls getting set to demolish at Soldier Field.
-Trent Dilfer is traded for by the Bears, as Bledsoe is too expensive to get (likely 2 #1 picks) and I think Dilfer is a better fit for my next thought.
-2002 Draft, Bears first pick, Antwaan Randle El. Whatever it takes to make that happen. Let Dilfer teach him for 2-3 years how to be a QB, and then you let him loose on the NFL, and people will be stunned. He's a more amazing athlete than McNabb, Stewart, Culpepper, Moss, or even Vick. With the right teaching he could be the scariest player in the NFL.

I believe Dilfer is a free agent after this season anyway.

| #11 Posted on 21.1.02 1026.56 | I hate the bears (being from st. louis).. but it would be nice to see them become even more complete by attempting to get a quality quarterback.... should be some decent ones on the free agent market or in the draft...
