That even with Triple H, Jericho, Angle and others being on the active roster. Hulk Hogan is going down in history as the last WWF Champion ever?

Jesus, he friggin' pulled it off...

I'm not sure when exactly the change from WWWF to WWF occured, but is it possible that Hogan was the champion at that time too?

First AND last WWF champion. Wow, that would be weird.

I think the "Wide" in WWWF was dropped in the late 1970s.

The extra W stood for wide? Now that is s stupid name. World Wide Wrestling Federation? Isn't worldwide one word? I guess if all your wrestlers were really fat it would make sense.

World Wide Wrestling Federation beats World Wrestling Entertainment that's for sure. And bravo to Hogan for screweing Vince in the steroid trial and then coming back 10 years later to pull off being the last WWF champion. But he's still old.

The first person actually recognized as WWF Champion was Bob Backlund. The WWWF/WWF switch occured during his title reign sometime in 1979.

Hogan, of course, didn't win the WWF Title until 1984.

Nah, Vince and his lawyers out-heeled (trademark:Steve Corino) the US Government to get out of the charges. But if they hadn't Hogan would've gone down as the Judas of the wrestling world at Vince's crucifixion. Of course this was back before Vince's lawyers could get their asses handed to them by pandas.
