I recently had to restore my computer from death using the pre-installed disk partition that came with my computer. Now this reset all my system software, so I didn't have the 75 or so "deathly important" security patches for XP, so I dutifully went to to download them.

The "please wait while we invade your privacy to see what you've got on your hard drive" page comes up, but the little security warning doesn't and so I'm never able to run the little ActiveX installer for updates.

I emailed Microsoft tech support about, and their automated reply said to wait a business day for my answer. imagine my surprise when I get an email from them this morning saying that since they hadn't heard back from me they'd be closing my case!

Anyone have any ideas?

I would say check your security settings in IE, and make sure you don't have a pop up blocker turned on.

So that'll get both processors running on one work order? I looked through a number of FAQs and stuff through the Folding forums and their wiki, but they love their techno babble, which is something I don't speak :-) -Oliver
