I am forever getting messages pop up on my task bar in little cartoon boxes telling me stuff I don't care about. Like when my wireless connected chages from weak to good or good to small.

I want to turn them off, but I don't know how. Mostly cause I am not sure what they're called. I have tried pop-up messages, messages, task bar messages - nothing.

Any ideas

The official answer from Microsoft. They're "balloon tips" if you're wondering.

I knew I could depend on somebody here knowing this. I would never have guessed "Baloon tips" though.

Thanks.

I work with a guy who writes weekly columns online, which in turn are frequently tweeted and retweeted. I'm trying to find an effective way to tabulate the frequency with which his column is tweeted.
