Is it any good? Better than 6.4, 7.1 or 9? Opinions please..................

What's your fave media player? Real, Quicktime, iTunes or some other thing?

Meh. It does what I ask it to. Slightly new format, and it does this annoying thing at first use that busts through your HD looking for media files. I don't like that, because it even went into program files and pulled out .wavs and .mp3s from games like KOTOR and Freelancer.

It's not much different (at least what I've seen) from 9.0, but I don't do a lot of stuff with it, aside from watching occasional videos and listening to CDs.

On the same topic kind of, currently my WMP 9's Roxio CD Burning craps out on me when I try to use it. Should I upgrade to 10 to fix this or what?

Or just get iTunes. Its burning features are the best out of the bunch, I think.

iTunes you need a iPod thingy though and a decent PC. I like the WMP10 now, its grown on me alot and I like the way the buttons aren't at the side anymore.

While there is a great deal of iPod compatibility with iTunes, you don't need an iPod to use iTunes for basic things like ripping, burning, playlists, etc. I'm not sure about the decent PC thing either, because mine is about 4 years old and is basically a piece of crap, but iTunes works beautifully for me and all my music needs.

Thats is real annoying but can you not tell it to just scan one particular part like WM9?
BTW Freelancer MP is the coolest game around, you should try a modded server
