| #1 Posted on 13.9.04 1340.45 | Instant Rating: 0.81 | I just got home from class a little after 2pm EST and went to the mail box to see my brothers copy of Maximum PC.
Inside is article on the next version of windows not even set to be released until 2006. They ask the question, why even mention it now? Apparently they are going for another total revamp of the windows system with new features such as.
-WinFS (New File System) -3D Interface code name Avalon (GUI)
-DirectX 9 compliant video card just to run it. (That seems like it'll tick people off or force us to upgrade)
Extra Stuff they throw in for fun -Improved Alt-Tab selectors -Dynamic wallpaper -Functional special effects -Vector-based graphics -Re-learning not required
Um...considering it's only in the development stage I can only say that I hope that they don't screw it up as bad as some of these other systems they've put out. Knowing ole Bill it will screw it up some way. So, how much are you all looking forward to see a new OS from the Microsoft People?
Just in case someone works for Microsoft here at the W or they just happen to find this thread, I'm not saying the WIN OS are bad, the win OS aren't the greatest. At least the work some or most of the time.
