I hope that's not the case because tracking down my 300+ classmates does not sound appealing to me. After hearing from a few friends who did go, it seems I made the right call. Based on that I have zero desire to go to my 20th.

Most of my friends graduated a year ahead of me, or didn't graduate at all.
There's only one or two people from my year I don't have Facebook, or email for, that I'd like to know what they're doing. I'm horrible at Facebook (I forgot my own password...shows you how much I use it) and I've gotten the impression that most people aren't really up for getting super chummy with classmates they weren't already chummy with previous to Facebook. | Bullitt

I was home in Halifax that summer and was out for some drinks one night. We entered a bar (the Lower Deck), and I realized I went to high school with basically everyone in the place.

It's weird, everyone's talking about how they didn't go 'cause they still talk to all their close friends from back then, but to me it's the other people I'm looking forward to seeing. The people I was friendly with, but not really friends with. The acquaintances, not the pals.
I can think of a lot of people who weren't in my circle of friends, but who I'd talk to in the hall or in the lunch line or if I sat by them in a class. And since we weren't close, I have no idea what any of them are doing with their lives. I would very much enjoy catching up with them.
Also, my wife's on the planning committee, so I kinda have to go.

My case as well, although I've already bypassed my 20th.

I spent 4 years counting the days till HS was over and I could do something. I didn't hate it, I just thought there had to be more. I applaud those of you who have enjoyed staying in touch.

A couple of months ago (more like 9), I went back to my high school with my daughter to show her my old school. I actually had some pangs of re-connecting with old friends, but they went away. However, with Facebook, more and more guys I went to school with have tracked me down. I am contemplating going, but am still on the fence. Most likely, I will not go, but things may change.

The main reason is the people I was best friends with in high school are still a part of my life and we keep in touch. It was interesting seeing how some of the others changed, but I already knew about the people I cared about the most. | AWArulz

We reconnected with a couple people we actually like now - and a few of us have died, of course, including one last year. One of the more interesting stories is a two people who went to reunions got divorced from their spouses and ended up marrying each other - to make them the second couple from our class to marry each other. (we have them by like 28 years).
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

This is because after moving to Jersey before my senior year, I went to my church's school. They actually had just opened it up that year, so I was the one and only senior in the school.
At one point, the school felt so bad that they actually talked of sending me on a senior trip...which would have been so much fun I'm sure.

I haven't really managed to make a success of myself, nor have I entered into a lasting relationship, so I feel like the sort of posturing and ego-stroking attempts that go on at those sorts of things are only for people who have it better than I.
And are better at faking that they like other people.

What also didn't help was that I only went to that H.S. for the one year so I didn't have tons of friends really. I might go to the 15 if there is one.
Speaking of which, my mother's 30th was in 2006 and she had a great time!
