So what does everybody think..
Is this the start of the return of Tazz, ECW legend?
Or is this yet once again just an evil plan to have us mark out for 2-3 weeks before everything returns back to normal..

Several times already we have been going nuts over what could be a return to ECW or whatever and every time it turned out to be a fluke..

Remember 'the return of ECW'?
Remember the debut of Tazz?
Remember Awesome's vicious powerbomb to Rhyno at MSG?
etc, etc..

Or could it be they need to build (guys like) him up so they have some more wrestlers that people care about for after 'the split'?

Tag Champion w/ Spike Dudley = transition champs for the AGD.

I'll believe they're really pushing Tazz if they give him a run at the Useless.... ahem, European title or something...

Tazz has about as much of a chance to get a serious push in the WWF as Luke Johnston has of being a regular Slash columnist.

Ouch!

"Kent Brockman here once again at The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where a complete evacuation has taken place. Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman

Well, the Tag Titles aren't exactly something to sneeze at. But, we'll see how long them hold them. I hope at least until the Rumble, anyway.

I'm not too keen on Spike & Tazz having the belts. These dudes couldnt win a match to save their lives when they were on their own, and now their supposed to be the tag champs?

Dont get me wrong now, I'm not hating on Tazz or Spike at all. I like 'em just fine by themselves, just not as the tag champs. Besides no other tag team in the history of the universe has " 2 guys with nothing at all in common who were thrown together at the last second just for the hell of it" written all over them like these two.

If you can't win on your own, then what better choice do you have than to team up with someone? That could be what they have in common. They're both tired of being the WWF's whipping boys so they joined forces to take on the entire company.

I would say something along the lines of "It worked for the NAO" but seeing as subsequent attempts to duplicate the Outlaws have failed miserably, I'll avoid that line.

"Q: How nervous were you coming here?
Me: ...I think it definitely paid off for me and others. I've been able to do a lot of things here I wasn't able to do there.

Like wrestle on Jakked! I mean, if I were still in WCW, would I have been able to wrestle on Jakked, a WWF show?! I think NOT! Thank you for the opportunity, Vince! (tool)"- "The Shooter" Dean Malenko

You took the words right out of my mouth, Tragic. That "Let's become a team because we're tired of not getting any respect around here" hasnt worked since the NAO did it.

Anywho, even if they did use that as their "Thing in Common", I think they fact that they've spend the last 6 months getting their asses kicked in every single match they've been in makes them a little hard to buy as sudden tag champs IMO.

Maybe it's hard to accept. But you could also look at it from the perspective of, "Finally these guys win and it's for a title." It is a classic line of booking. Heels dominate the faces every step of the way. But when it comes down to that one final match where everything is at stake, the faces win and it's as if all those losses never happened.

Granted in today's era of 12 PPV's a year and rapid-fire booking, the number of losses a face can take and remain interesting to the fans has decreased. But ultimatly it's not about how many wins or losses, just that the faces win in the end.

Start Rant

No. Tazz will NOT get a push now. Tazz will NEVER get a push. No matter how much the fans like him, no matter how much he'd get over, no matter how much better he is than 3/4 of the guys who DO get the push, (*ahem* BILLY...) Vince doesn't like Tazz, and Tazz is short, so Tazz will not be pushed. Next fucking case. God, I hate Vince!

End Rant

I still think it's more along the lines of ECW's tag division, Dudleys vs Spiike and New Jack/Balls/Chilly Willy/whoever.

Brew, I thought you had shifted your Canadian lust to Stacy Keiber-or am I confusing you with Test?!?! I only know that I can change; everything else just stays the same.
