At this point, Wilco may very well make a better Neil Young album than Neil Young, which is the best way to describe what this sounds like. Although this CD seems a bit more polished than Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and doesn't have as many of the sonic crackles, but it's still a good effort, although having two songs going over the 10 minute mark is a little excessive and neither song really merits it and could have been cut to 5-6 minutes each without losing anything, including the EIGHT MINUTE strain of white noise between tracks 11 and 12. There's being arty and then there's being indulgant, and that would be the line.

So far, I'm liking parts of it, although it's worth noting that with every Wilco album up until now it takes me a few listens to really get into it.

In a recent interview, Jeff has basically said the excessive feedback in Less Than You Think is sorta there to dare to listener to see how long they can go before hitting the FF button.

I`ve had an incomplete, out of order copy of the album for months, but I`d been listening to it online at work once in a while, then got an official sampler for it the other week and now I`m obsessed.

Meh, I'll allow it for having Nickelback's only two adequate songs. (YOU decide which ones I mean!) Although let's see what Allmusic (allmusic.com) had to say about it... ...hang on, I just threw up in my mouth a bit. Okay, a lot.
