Harvest Moon has got to be, with the exception of the import stuff, the most "valuable" game available on the virtual console. My store sells copies for 59.99 and we basically set our price points to be lower than eBay. (As a point of comparison, most SNES games sell between 4 and 8 bucks.)

I wonder if this'll affect the price.

According to this neat comparison article, a "real" copy of Bonk 3 can sell for $200, making it the best deal on the Virtual Console. The article predates the release of Harvest Moon, but only by a few weeks.

Is Harvest Moon actually any good? Should I get it?

While I'm here...

VC Japan (Tuesday, February 12)
  • Super Contra (Famicom, 500 points)
  • Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle (Super Famicom, 800 points)

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. It's one of the most fun and original games I've ever played. But only if you dig the SNES style.

Wiiware - The internet browser had an update from 2/11/08. Any idea what it was? It wasn't an updated flash version, which is what I really wanted.

VC Europe (Friday, February 15)
- Eternal Champions (Mega Drive, 800 points)
- Phantasy Star II (Mega Drive, 800 points)

Guru - no idea on the browser update, but if they didn't send out a notice to tell everyone, I bet it was nothing important. Wikipedia has nothing.

You sure it wasn't an update to the "Check Mii Out" Channel? I recall there was a new "version" to download not too long ago ...

No, it was the browser. It now plays an annoying sound when you hit 100% zoom level.

I'm usually pretty caught up on my Wiiware, so I was surprised when I saw it.

Maybe I'm beta testing it and didn't know it?
