OK, this has bothering me for a LONG time so I figure I'll just come out and ask the question that needs to be asked.

Is there some kind of formula that regulates the number of chickens online for every wiener? Right now there are 14 wieners online and 11 chickens. I reload, there are 15 wieners and 12 chickens. So I ask; what regulates the number of chickens online?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm going to guess "Chickens" are non-registered people reading the board, while "Weiners" are obviously registered users already logged-on.

I've been wondering if "Chickens" would then include Wieners who are here, but just not logged on.

especially since there would be no way to recognize them from non-weiners who haven't logged in

sometimes I'll get on logged off, and then log in but the "chicken" count stays the same while I get added to "wieners" online.

How much does it say about the way my mind works that, before I read this post, I was positive it was going to be about barbeque?

Now are we talking about "barbecue" as in a cookout in the backyard or "barbecue" as in the meat dish made in North Carolina, Kansas City etc. Just a difference in georgraphical culinary vernacular(like the soda vs pop vs cola vs tonic debate and those places in NW Pennsylvania where it's "dinor" instead of "diner.")

Of course, we still have no official word(even though what I heard has made sense)

In Pittsburgh, barbeque means cookout (and saying anything other than "pop" results in a "You ain't from around here, is you?")

Unless of course you say Barbecue sandwich (or sammich, my favorite). Then it's that Tennessee meat thing.

mmm... meat.

and how did we get on barbecue???

EDIT: See the next post down - I am not alone in my confusion.

So the regional definition of barbecue and/or the local term for carbonated soft drinks regulates the number of chickens in Wienerville? I think I'm confused, but I'm not sure.

OFB mentioned he thought this was a barbecue(as in cookout) style of conversation. And we still have yet to determine the formula!

That's because it doesn't sign someone off immediately after the person leaves. If you were to log out, you're name would stay at the top saying you were here for an additional minute or so.

Don't you mean "Yuns ain't from around here?" My mom's family is from out there. I like listening to Pittsburgese. You all sound so funny.
I'm waiting for Angle to say 'Yuns' some time.
