Someone had put a bunch of copies of "Fight Club" in the $5.88 bin at one of my local Super Wal-Marts. It wasn't supposed to be in there and scanned at the higher price, but once the people at the register verified that I wasn't lying, they sold it to me at the low price.
I also bought an N-64 at this same store a couple of years ago and they had troubles ringing it up on my debit card and they had to do some correcting. Ends up they charged me two times and gave me credit 2 times, so they ended up giving me the N-64 or they may have actually paid me like $10 to take it.
Put me in the minority for liking Jeepers Creepers.
Sure the plot was bad, but I found it interesting, and it had a, pardon the pun, creepy ending.
I'll be the first in line to see part 2 next month.
Jeepers, Creepers, where'd you get those peepers, oh those weepers, where'd you get those eyes(knock me out) how they hypnotise, tell me where did you get those eyes!
That song was stuck in my head for days after seeing that.
I saw some Ernest Camp, Texas Chainsaw, and some other random movies on the 5.88 Mart here. No Rambos though
As for Jeepers, (minor spoilers) I had mixed feelings about it; started out good especially with the "Spy Kids drive home from college" banter and the "what the hell" aspect which degenerated into a generic evil monster movie where even the theme song that was so pivotal to the premise was barely used.
I gotta wonder where the dead wood from Costco goes since I never see a 5.88 video there?
(edit) okee the banter wasn't THAT good but hey it reminded me of all those road trip games I used to play like punch bug, license plate bingo (or find all 50 states), staring at other drivers, Dumb and Dumber stuff ;)

I found RAW X figures there for $6.50! 2.50 cheaper than TRU was selling! Picked up everyone I didn't have of the collection so far, and it was.. you know.. pretty cool and stuff.

The in-the-car banter was one of the worst parts of Jeepers Creepers. The acting was horrid. The only props I will give that movie was the part where they first see "the creature" from across the highway as it is dumping bodies down a pipe. And the creature sees them staring at it from afar, and chases after them. But come on--it has a personalized license plate which says "BEATNGU"? What the fuck? (Sorry, my first F word on Wienerboard, but it is very well used, IMHO.)

The problem with my local Wal-Mart is the wait. There's never enough people working the registers, and unless you get in line at electronics, you're in for a long wait. Target is much quicker with multiple lines always open.
Went today with money to burn. (got 55 dollars from bowling sweeper) Picked up Freeway, Eight Men Out, Suicide Kings, and The Fan for 5.88 and got the Matrix for 14.44.
Got Last Action Hero this morning.
