I, for one, am very upset that kane is back, his character is absolutely horrible, he has had exactly 3 entertaining matches in the last four years or so (and two of then were with kurt angle, like that is hard to pull off)- He can never drive a storyline because his character, by virtue of him being unable to talk (and when he does talk, its not only out of character, but also lame and unentertaining), cannot fit into the dynamic of current sports entertainment fueds, and his in-ring work is basically typical-big man (note, that sucks), with one bellow-average top rope move added in. If there is anything that guys like angle, beniot, rvd, hbk ect, prove is that you do NOT need to be a big guy to be taken seriously as a main eventer, and in fact, almost every wrestler over 6'7" is a waste of TV time, especially if they cant cut a promo or be entertaining in an other way (see: taker, albert, test, big show). Back to more kane-bashing. the only way his character's angle works is as a monster, and that is a dead-end angle for someone who clearly doesnt have the charisma to be the wwe champ or a constant main eventer. On one hand, he had to squash people to keep his persona (like his CLEAN WIN over the tag champs this week, which was a total joke), and on the other, he has to never win a match of any consequence, cause he is too lame "sports entertainment" wise to warrant being put over in a big way. this is why he always yo-yo in the top-mid carder, low-main event level and can never and WILL never break out of it, no matter how many times the wwe decides to push him. So the bottom line is the wwe is better off without kane, both because of his inherint limitations as a wrestler and an entertainer, and because of the nature of fueds in the wwe today. discuss.

P.S. I used to post a good deal on the WrestlingTalks forum as "Misha13". Did anyone else post on that board before it shut down? i think that was the best wrestling forum i have ever been on.

You did notice they changed his mask? He's going to talk now. We'll have to see, but my personal suspicion is that you will end up eating your words about how he isn't a good promo guy.

RAW needs popular faces. Kane's over with most of the Rubes. he ain't going anywhere.

he needs a real finisher though. The chokeslam isn't gonna cut it nowadays as too many other folks use it, and make it look better. I mean, much as I dislike the Big Slow, his chokeslam looks nasty. the Hurricane's chokeslam looks good too. kane needs something new. Let him do a doctorbomb or something visually impressive...

I agree with Panther - the guy needs a new finisher that isn't a choke slam or a big boot.

I disagree with the idea that a "monster" type character that gets a lot of squashes is invaluable. If Kane nukes a bunch of jobbers and seems totally invincible for months and then gets beaten clean by someone they are trying to push, it's good for that person's credibility. Kind of a glorified jobber to the stars.

I think maybe Kane will never be a constant in the main-event scene, but he can move in and out of it to keep the scene a little fresher. That's a good thing in my eyes.

And yes, the "Rant" gimmick is LAME.

He's no main eventer. he would be good for the upper midcard, I'd say. Maybe let him have a cup of coffee with the World belt...you know let him hold it a couple weeks in between say...Lesnar then drop it to Angle. Lesnar loses no heat as he's jobbing to THE BIG RED MACHINE! MY GAWD! MY GAWD!- then lose it to Angle, which'll give Angle better cred as a legit wrestler for beating the BIG RED MACHINE! SEND HIM TO HELL! STRAIGHT TO HELL! and then Kane's a former champ and more credible wrestler and everybody's happy.

who knows. If his promos are good, my opinion of Doc Yankem could skyrocket.

Kane already is a former champ, remember that classic one day reign in 98. And having Lesnar lose it to Kane to pass it to Angle would rob Vince of one of his few big money matches he hasn't used yet, which would be Angle chasing Lesnar for the belt.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

I don't like Kane. I've never liked Kane. But the truth is, the common fan loves Kane. He's big and he's strong, and he doesn't do anything too heelish. So, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that he's gonna stick around. I hated seeing him go over the tag champs, but that's the way it goes, and I can live with it.

But there is something about him that really, really annoys me on a "nitpicky fan" level. His damn costume. Ok, so I know ol' Glen is not an actual burn victim, fine. But isn't he supposed to be? Wasn't the reason his old costume only had one arm because his other arm was burned? Isn't his face supposed to be burned? Isn't he supposed to be kinda burned all over? But it seems like every time he shows up, he's wearing less and less, which just bugs me. He's all tank-tops and mesh and half a mask now, and you know, even though wrestling is fake and I'm not supposed to believe it anyway, I just do NOT believe this guy has a burn on his body!

Or maybe we're supposed to forget that Kane is a burn victim. 'Cause you know, I don't think they've mentioned it for more than a year, and the memory of a wrestling fan doesn't go farther back than six months, right?

Oh yeah, Angle and Lesnar will be HUGE. Once Shelton Benjamin is in the mix, it might be even better.

BTW, I think I read somewhere that Angle whipped Lesnar's ass in a legit amatuer match recently while they were on the road. I'm pretty sure it was an interview with Angle by the Pittsburgh paper.

Yeah, Angle vs. Lesnar would be great. WILL be great, whenever Vince lets it happen.

And they need to find a way to get Kane out of the stupid frickin "Undertakers little burn victim brother" gimmick. It's just too 80's.

Hey Yo...

I believe Angle has wrestled Lesnar legit two or three times now. I believe I read an interview where he talked about it. He beat him pretty clean the first time, the second time not so much and the third time it was dead even (or the replace the second with the third) with Angle taking it by a hair. And no, I don't remember where I read it (maybe www.wwfkurtangle.com???).

As for Kane, I liked him before he got injured so I'm giving him a chance, I think the guys decent on the microphone as well and if he teams with Booker T and Goldust in some backstage segments it can't help but to improve him. Plus Kanenites is just funny to me.

The front page of TNAwrestling.com has a YouTube video of Borash interviewing Joe after the PPV. Right after that is Borash at ringside, and while we can see Team 3D work the crowd, we can't hear one word of it.
